In Your Neck Of The Woods: JK's Hood

So, what's happenin' in my neck of the woods??  Mrs. Priss at The RHOK wants to know.
The RHOK

For this week's installment of IYNOTW, I decided to take you on a little picture tour of Dub Town.  That's what all the locals call the quaint (I use that term lightly) town I live in.

We have 3 stop lights...I knooooow, it's a metropolis.

If you ever visit, I can guarantee that you'll wait on a train...like 99.9% guarantee.

For the tastiest char-grilled hamburgers in at least 100 miles, you MUST eat at Son's! (ignore the bird poo on my window...according to Michael, I "over use" windshield wiper fluid, sooooo, I'm always out.)

When you reach the highway, it's over...yep that's all she wrote.

After that, nothing but wide open space...for the next 30 miles...then you reach T-Town...which we pretend like that's a "big city", but friends from REAL big cities tell me that it's not.

I'll just keep pretending.

Ignorance is bliss.

Now, try not to be jealous.  And don't everyone flock to NE Oklahoma.  We kinda like it a little less populated.

What's happening in your neck of the woods??  It can be anything pictures, a story, an event...whatever you'd like to share.

Stop by The RHOK today and link up!

I think it looks like an adorable little town from the movies.
BUT, if I lived there I might not like it.
I think I live in a bigger town than you!
And, yeah, we're like 80 miles south of Portland. The biggest "city" in Oregon.
Apparently? It's not that big. Whatev.

I loved taking a peek at your spot. Ooh, that burger place is probably amazing. Ha! I "overuse" windshield washer fluid too and Rondell makes fun of me.

And I thought that I lived in a small town, girl I feel for you! And do you think men learn these little things about washer fluid use in some sort of husband course, just to torture us? I could totally hear my husband saying that!

My town is very similar. Nothing to see, nothing to do! It's why I blog! HA!

I want to live in a little town like that!

The only thing in my neck of the woods is a bunch of teens hanging out on the road and chickens in my yard!~

Your town looks totally boring! GAH! I can't believe you grew up in such a shiz town. I'm so glad that I didn't.

Wait....

I totally did. That's right. Oh, and I visit all the time. Thank GOD my parents live no where near the train tracks. I would cut myself fo sho, mofo. ;)

SONS! YUM! Except when you have to wait in a line of cars to pick up the order that you called in and the others DID NOT. I hate that.

I can honestly say I don't think I love your town, LOL! - Oh wait I do live in the county that shares your town's name, so technically I have to go to your town sometimes. But what I really don't like about your town, is a judge and a lawyer- they aren't very nice people. But I really do love the cuteness of main street- just elected officials need to get some bloodstains off their hands. Wow! That was strong for me!

My hometown only has 1 traffic light (and it wasn't even there when my family moved there in 2000). But I absolutely adore it!

Loved the tour today. We also say "we're going to town" around here.
Just returning from Dallas - I have to say Tulsa isn't the big city, but hey - it works :)

You know, one of my dogs came from your big city. She was a great pup. :)
Thanks for the tour! I had no idea you had 3 stoplights these days. Really moving up!

I think it DOES look quaint... except for the train tracks. :) I'll bring you In-N-Out Burger if you bring Sons...

i think it has a lot of charm.

i like a small town, i am funny like that.

i always dreamed of living in a town where everyone knew everyone.

my grandparents lived in a beach town like that. i remember one of their neighbors spanked my cousin for stomping on her flower bed.

it was awesome.

when my cousin told my grandma my grandma spanked him too.

you do NOT eff with an old lady's flowerbed and get away with it.

especially not in a small town.

Reminds me of a few small towns around us!

I get on Bryan about the overuse of washer fluid too! He uses it WAY too much!

This is WAY too similar to my town. We have 1 stoplight & you most definitely will get stopped by a train, they run all the freakin time!

Know what that means... you could come visit me or I could come visit you & we would feel right at home :)

LOL! I love W-town! And, it's like Claremore in the fact you always have to wait on a train.

Hey, I guess there's a new bar going in there???? I can't remember how I know this. LOL!

Three lights? Part of me wants to live somewhere like this after living in a busy city all my life. However, I would like a gigantic town with a Target no more than 30 minutes away.
