The RHOK is introducing a new meme titled Into Your Neck Of The Woods! It's going to be a weekly meme where you'll be able to link up and show pictures of things around you or tell a funny story of something that happened recently. Most of all, it's just giving everyone a glimpse into YOUR life...where YOU live...and the things the YOU do!
We want to know what's going on in YOUR neck of the woods!
We want to know what's going on in YOUR neck of the woods!
Sounds fun, right?!
Today is the first link-up and I have to admit that I'm feelin' like a RHOKstar failure. I had all intentions of going out and capturing something great...like the guy that rides his horse down Main Street, because I'm sure that doesn't happen everywhere. I also had thought about stopping and snapping a picture of this tree that people have put their shoes in over the years...interesting at least.
However, I didn't do any of that. So, I'm flying by the seat of my pants...which is totally normal for me...and I'm going to show you what I see on my way to work on any given morning.
What? Don't you see a goat tied up in a front yard on your way to work?
So, tell me...what's going on in your neck of the woods??
31 comments...I love comments:
haha.. Yeah, I actually do see things like that on my way to work!
I wish I would have had a camera last summer when I saw a woman in her bikini lifting a tree stump. Now I got a huge kick out of that! Even though I guess I wasn't too stunned by it in these parts!
-Many Smiles!!
You are so not a RHOK star failure. That's good stuff right there.
I never see a goat tied up to a tree in my neck of the woods. LOL!
I've seen some interesting things in OK -- like the pig the people kept as a pet. They lived down the road from Matthew's grandmother in Owasso. We went to see it whenever we visited. :)
Or the whale...I can't remember where it was but Grandma took us to see it more than once. :)
My neighbors have goats in their front yard...So this feels right at home to me!
I was worried thinking about showing you my "ghetto" town, but holy hell we don't have a goat in a front yard!
I don't think.
OMG do we live in the same neighborhood!!! I have these neighbors that pass a few goats around during the summer to eat the grass out of the ditches. I should really get in on it so I don't have to get out there and hurt myself with the weed whacker.
I'm from a really tiny town, I actually do see stuff like that! And tractors in the high school parking lot. We like to keep it classy.
Lol, made me crack up laughing, there is a goat by my parents that lives in a dog pin. There is a dog house in there too,he a lways stands on top of it, lol...
Hahaha! You've got to be kidding me!!!
Lovin' the goat in the front yard ;) And I have to admit, I'm feeling right at home! Such a fun meme!
No way is that a failure! That is great stuff! ;-) No goats here.
poor awesomeness.
Failure, I don't think so. Love the goat, we have that over this way too. HA!
Glad I decided to join in on this meme, looks like a lot of fun!
Who doesn't see a goat tied up on the way to work! HA! kidding!!!
I could take a pic of the Amish people riding by my house in their buggies....right down the road from you, huh?!
That is so funny. I almost feel like I am looking at my neighbor's yard across from me.
Love the pic!
Nope, no goats here. Just lots of crazy homeless people around these parts. LOL!
Haha sure don't have any goats around here!! :) I love your new profile pic though! Tres cute!
Are you kidding me?!
That pic is GOLD!!!
A goat chained up to a tree w/a trailer of some sort in the background?!
Pure Hick Love I say.

Great new meme!
I do see goats from time to time and if you knew where I lived you would never believe me!
My neighbors, yes the one who just cut my Fios line, have 2 goats that daughter #2 shows for 4H. She had brought them to stay at the house while a new farm was being looked for. While the daughter was at school the Mom tied them to the play set. I heard them crying, looked out my bathroom window and about lost it! Freaking goats in the back year! Seriously? About 2 hours later one was dead....it climbed up the play set, fell off and hung itself. Very sad and yet another example as to why I do not like those neighbors!
Lol -Great view! 1 time when I was little and visiting a petting zoo a goat tried to eat my hair -I guess they really do try to eat everything ;)
Yep, that's about right. Good ol' Oklahoma.
I'll have to be on the lookout for some awesomeness from the "HELL". I've got this competition won! lol
Wait, I thought that was the Redneck lawn mower- just a little warm blooded and non-gas guzzling! LOL
LOL! Um yeah definitely do not see that in my neck of the woods. What a fun idea, will definitely have to remember to link up here soon.
Lol a goat on the way to work and a man riding down main street aren't normal things to see on the way to work?! Hmm. I must have grown up in an odd place then. ;)
We didn't have a stop light and our town was literally a mile long. There were some very interesting things to see on a daily basis haha.
Bahahaha! That hilarous! Redneck! My uncle is getting married at the end of April .. i think it'll qualify for a link up! The groomsmen are wearing overalls and the bridesmaids look like they stepped out of a black and white western! hehe
Actually, I would be able to see things like that in the little town I grew up in.
Dude. I have always wanted a pet goat but the Doc says NO.
I wish I were kidding.
Holy shiz that is funny! I live right in the middle of town, now granted it is a tiny country hick town but a couple years ago a block downt the road someone was keeping their horse in the backyard... like chainlink fence back yard... REALLY???
Goats are really great lawnmowers don't ya know. :)
And you don't live in HELL like IA does! What's she complaining about anyway??

Too funny! I live in the country and I do see some crazy things. I pass by a house that has a peacock running around the front yard. I always look for him as I drive by.
