About Me

My name is Jenny Kate, obviously.  It's actually Jennifer Katherine.  In high school, my friends would call me Jenny, Jen, Jenny K, Jenny Kate.  It's always been my user name for all Internet hangouts like Myspace, Facebook, Cafemom...and now my blog.  I live in a small town in Oklahoma.  It's where I was born and raised.  <-----you've got to read that with a southern/Okie accent.  I have no intentions of leaving...ever.  I love it here.  Sure, it has its quirks and downfalls, but so do big cities.  I like knowing my neighbors and living on the street I grew up on.  I have deep roots and strong family ties.  Some of my best friends are family members.  I also have close knit relationships with several of my friends from elementary, junior high, and high school.  Friends are for life, in my book.  I met my husband while I was at college at The University of Oklahoma (BOOMER SOONER!).  We've been married for 12 years and we have a little boy, Isaiah.  He is the best thing we've ever done.  He provides us with constant entertainment and we never have a dull moment at our house.  Michael eats, breathes, and sleeps sports.  He's mostly into football (again BOOMER SOONER) and baseball.  He bleeds Cubbie blue.  Isaiah is just getting into sports and it's been a lot of fun so far.  Recently, we started building onto our home.  It has been quite the process, but we know it will be so worth it once it's finished.  We are doing a lot of the work ourselves, and when I say "ourselves" I mean Michael. 

I've had this blog since 2008.  It has provided so much friendship and camaraderie.  I love it.  It's my own personal space to just write my thoughts, journal our lives, and be creative.  I don't make any promises around here.  It's always something different.  Usually it's just a bunch of "fluff and nonsense", but one thing is for sure, I'm passionate about life.  If I really love something, you're going to hear about it!
