McLinky Monday - Valentine's Day

The RHOK

Today at The RHOK, Mrs. Bundy wants to know how we celebrate Valentine's Day...

Well, Mrs. Bundy, I wish I had something really romantic and mushy and gushy to tell you, but I don't.

We are typically so UNexciting on Valentine's Day.  Usually a movie and dinner is the extent of our celebrations (outside of the bedroom) <------ Did I just say that?  On the blog?

I do remember our first Valentine's Day together.  It was probably our most cheesy romantic.  It was mid-90's.  I was still rockin' the somewhat poofy bangs.  I borrowed a knee length red dress from my college suite mate...and some red high-heels to match.  She was a sorority girl and never lacked for party attire.  Michael wore a suit jacket and slacks.  I remember that he came up to my dorm to pick me up, flowers in hand...AND in his 25th Anniversary Camaro.
Hot guy, cool car.
Who doesn't swoon over that?
I think we went to a banquet or something...we probably made out.

How much more awkward could I be?  Maybe I was nervous...yeah, we'll go with that.  Also, I'm making a mental note to never, under any circumstances, wear a dress like that again...it does nothing for a chubby girl.

This year, Michael is sick.  My Granny has been in the hospital.  Our house is in the middle of being finished.  Valentine's Day will not be a grand production.

OH yeah, BUT we do have a Valentine's Day tree...
That makes up for the lack of celebration this year, right?
How do you celebrate Valentine's Day?

If you want, stop by The RHOK and link up with us today!

Happy Valentine's Day!

love and rockets,
jennykate♥

Michael doesn't even look like himself! LOL
I'm sitting here folding laundry...and I just noticed a big hole in the ass of my hubs' unders. That's romance.

You guys look fabulous! Rich and I have one like that from high school. The body language is very much the same, except that I look irritated with my mom, who would not stop taking pictures and let us leave already!
:)
Hope hubby is better soon.

Our Valentine's Day will be less than exciting. He had class tonight and I'm well, you know, stuff.

Hope you have a great one!

Ahww -What a cute picture! Yeah we're kinda unexciting -dinner and a movie and maybe something more later ;) Well, Happy V-day anyway!

Okay ... is the Christmas tree still up or do you put it back up for Valentines (and Easter, 4th of July, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, etc.)? My son suggested just leaving ours up and redecorating it this year! Mostly because he didn't want to have to dismantle it and haul it to the shed!

We're not even minimally exciting ourselves! Ho hum ...

So that means y'all were practicing statutory rape?

Off to call 911.

Now where did I leave the post it with their number?

I think you look adorable in the red dress, it's the shoes that are killing me.
Hope you feel a little more loved than usual today and enjoy your evening.

I'm giggling...no I'll be honest I'm actually laughing...that picture is priceless!

I have never been in a dress that I thought I shouldn't have worn {for the record I see nothing chubby about you!}, with bangs bigger than my head standing awkwardly next to a boy I so wanted to french?

Nope. Never!

I hope Hubby feels better soon and that your Granny recovers and seriously get that flippin' tree down!

Yes, you have the LOOOOOVE TREE, said in my best Barry White voice of course!

We are like you guys. Tim left for Alaska this morning at 3 (business trip.) I woke up to a card on my keyboard (super sweet card.)

I bought a iPad last week and told him it was our Valentines to each other- I know, so romantic. LOL!

Have a great week-I hope Michael and granny get well soon.

P.S. I think the dress looks hot on you!

Loooove the outfit sassy. We keep it low key we're not big Valentines celebrators. We did go out to dinner Saturday {kid free} that was something to celebrate in and of itself.

Hope hubs & Granny are feeling better. LOVE that picture of you two. I think I had a dress almost exactly like that. Ahhhhhh, gotta love the early 90's! I should post some pics of me & my hubs from then. ha ha ha. Ok I'm in TOTAL disagreement with Shawn. Keep rockin the tree, start a new trend! LOL

Look at you rockin' the red dress! You guys look smokin'!

V-day isn't a big deal around here either. Hubby worked this year...I hung out with 2 girlfriends who were also husband-less.

LOVE the valentine tree!

I love, love, love seeing "old" pictures of people. Yes, the fact that we can post pictures from the 90's on back makes them "old!"

You looked great in the red!

And, I'm cracking up that you STILL have up your Christmas tree. But, it does look cute fixed up with Valentines!
