Friday Confessional

First of all,  who gave Barack Obama my e-mail address?  Do one of you have something you'd like to tell me?  He emails me every day. I confess...I didn't even vote for him.  Is that too personal?

Impulsive (along with an assist from Hotpants...yeah, I confess, I'm a name dropper, so what?) decided that we're going to end every tweet (twit/twat) with "BOO-YAH".  Just because.  An acceptable alternative would be "Ooooo, burn".  If you need any Twitter advice, just let us know, because it's obvs that we've got that shiz in the bag.

I confess I smell like hazelnut coffee because I spilled half of my cup on myself as I was trying to get in my office door.  Superb.  Osmosis does not work with caffeine.

I confess it's January 28th and my Christmas tree is still up in my living room.  I've been thinking of putting some red hearts on it and calling it "Valentine's Day Tree".

I confess that I'm a creature of habit.  Remember the store I mentioned in my Friday Confessional last week, Kum and Go?

Well, it's a real store in my hood.  I frequent it often.

I stop there at least 3-5 times a week for a cup of coffee.  A large 24oz coffee flavored with hazelnut creamer.  It lasts me the whole way to work and for my first hour or so at my desk.  It ain't the Bux, but it's coffee.  Small towners can't be choosey yo.

I confess that I am only answering Impulsive Addicts texts with emoticons.

She was always taunting me with these little smiley faces and piles of poo...so, I had to be like her and get my own.  I'm hooked.

I confess that I went a little overboard at Amazon this week.  Between the e-books for my Kindle and my Twilight related purchases, I spent a small fortune.  DON'T YOU JUDGE MEIt's a long freakin' time until 11.18.11.  I have to have something to fill my Twi-void.

I confess that I can NOT sew.  Brandy @ You Don't Know has some serious sewing skillz.  She said that it's not that hard...blah blah blah.  Whatevs, Brandy.  I've tried sewing before and I failed miserably.  I sewed this pair of "pants" and I say "pants" because they weren't really pants...well, I guess if your waist to crotch measured 3 feet and your legs were 1 foot long...then, yeah, they would have worked for you.  Here, I drew a little illustration for you:
That is all.

What do you confess?  Click on over to Mamarazzi's and link up.  Tell us all about it.  Make it good (and by good I mean bad) and juicy.  It'll make us feel better about ourselves.

LOL!

I get Obama mail too. I finally emailed them and told them to shut up. Okay, I just unsubscribed, but I wanted to tell them to shut up. I seriously have no idea who signed me up for that.

I'm loving your artwork. Skillz, girl, skillz.

I so want to know how to do the smilies. I just can't figure it out. Waa!

Have a wonderful weekend.
Oh, yeah. I'll see YOU tonight at the RHOK Out. Can't wait!

That drawing...is TO DIE FOR! Those pants are HOTT. Seriously, how did you take your measurements? I mean, we did have a crappy Dub-town edumacation but I'm slightly curious if you failed math class. Ooooo BURN!

Kum is Go is a horrible name for a gas station and THAT one is just plain nasty. I swear I saw a drug deal goin' on just to the right of the store a few weeks ago. Betta watch yo self up in thur.

Didn't you leave your Christmas tree up until like Easter last year? I'll be over this weekend to help you take it down. That's ridiculous.

Thanks for the shout-outs! Can't wait for some GOOD TIMES to roll out tonight!!!

I didn't vote Obama either, I like you even more now! The Boo-Yah & oooo Burn is making me laugh, I am gonna use Ooooo Burn one. Wonder who will tell me how stupid I am because they just don't understand that there are awesome bloggers out there who use it. HA!
Your Christmas tree is still up??? I took mine down that night. Sad huh :( The next day was Yard Debri pickup in my neighborhood & it just made sense. I do believe that is the one & only thing I was actually on top of and ahead of the game this year. I am lame.
Kum & Go... Really? Who the hell would Kum up with something like that? Well, I guess as long as it wasn't Cum were all good.
Where have you been hiding all this time & how did I not find you till now???
Ok I'll shut it now, I have rambled long enough. Have a great weekend!

DO IT! Leave your tree up.. pleaassse! I have never been brave enough to do that. I love the hearts idea and then you can do colored eggs for Easter! Take pics and I will live vicariously through you!

What a horrible name for a store... Some people have no class when choosing a name for their business. Believe it or not there is worse.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the drawing. I might just post it on my fridge it made me laugh so hard... I can't sew either. But I have mad skills with a glue gun!

Have a great weekend!

After Valentine's Day is Easter, so get some hearts and some plastic eggs and you can totally leave that tree up til May! And is that a fist bump emoticon--too funny! And is it really November that the next movie comes out? I just finished the last book and now that I know I get my way, I can't wait for the movie. Our little small town movie theater is sucky, but I sucked it up for the midninght showing last time!

Ok, I really want an iPhone now because my emotions are just basic smiley faces....damn you Blackberry!!

I am not judging you that your tree is still up ... I just hope it is fake, because all those falling pine needles would drive me NUTS!!!

Twitter advice ... I need some! Can you block reading people's tweets, but not delete them as a friend?! I'm afraid deleting the will ruffle some feathers!

brainella said...

I would just put hearts on that tree. :) I'm contemplating making some Valentine's decorations but I'm not sure I'm motivated enough right.

Every time we go to Tulsa I am always amused by Kum & Go. It's just odd.

I have an Amazon addiction too. Oh, and B&N. I have a pile of books about 2 feet tall that keeps calling my name. Ack.

Happy Friday, Jenny!

Bwhahaha!

Okay..so Barack doesn't email me. I really don't adore him..but I did have this odd dream about him once. Shhh-don't tell my husband. ;)

Speaking of hubs..he's the king of saying BURN!! Even if it doesn't apply to the convo..so odd.

You MUST do the Vday tree and take a pic..I insist!

Thanks to you and Fabulous But Evil, I'll be buying some new books this weekend EVEN THOUGH I DON'T NEED TO BUY ANYMORE. I already have 20 unread books on my Nook. However, I need some easy reads to jumpstart my reading since I've been slacking. Make sense?

Mrs Montoya said...

Could you be ANY funnier?!?! Man oh man . . . You gave me a giant boost and a laugh that I needed extra much. I keep saying that I am going to learn how to sew and then I realize that I am a total liar. I struggle with buttons and Girl Scout patches. I'm not sure I could even reach your level of success on the pants. Have a great weekend!

Had to spit when I seen the Kum & Go {I mean I spit out my diet pepsi}

And 11/18 is too far away! I don't want to wait that long to see Breaking Dawn.

Amy said...

Kum and Go! I could not, would not...ever ever never drink anything from THAT place!! LOL!

ThatsBaloney said...

My SPAM filter must be fantastic. Obama does not email me.
I refuse to spend a dime at Kum & Go. They are disgusting to name their store that way. Seriously!
Do I need to send my mom over to take care of your Christmas tree? Trust me, you do not want this to happen. You have 5 days before I send her. GO!

Unknown said...

Ok, I totally need those emoticons for my phone! Where did you get them?

I'm with you on over spending...only mine was on ebay. On cloth diapers.

BTW, Nice pants! :p

Leanna said...

You make me laugh!!

I love my emoticons too! No Kum & Go here..thank God! That just sounds all kinds of nasty! LOL

I think you could get a side job with the drawings!! Just sayin!

Macey said...

Hey I want to send poo!
Where was I?
Oh.
The pants.
I thought you were drawing a picture of the pants I wear every day. Those seriously look like these stretchy nasties that I wear every. day.
For reals.

Macey said...

Oh. And I do NOT get Obama mail and I better not start getting it. ICK.

Macey said...

Oh. And if I had Kum and Go here? I would totally GO there all the time. Wonder if anyone would KUM with me?

Forgetfulone said...

I wonder why I've never gotten Obama mail? Not that I want it! LOL I think you should sooo make your tree a Valentine decoration. Why take it down now? It's less than 11 months till Christmas! So, you could have Vals, Easter, Mother's Day, etc.

Anonymous said...

Too funny! Girl, once Christmas is over it's time for the tree to be GONE! You must tell us if you decide to do a Valentines tree.

EWWWW....if Obama started emailing me I'd have to change email addresses!

FrouFrouBritches said...

Oh my gosh! You are hysterical! I visited North Arkansas this weekend and saw a bunch of those Kum & Go's. There are a bunch of them up there. I love your drawing of your pants. HA! So funny!

I wondered how to make my tweets more exciting : )
Booyah! So now I know.

Your picture is so great. Why didn't you ever tell me that you were an artist? : ) I tried to sew in home ec in junior high and my bag was ridiculous. How anyone can fail at making a simple square bag, I will never know!

You are the best. Booyah!

My sis turned her Christmas tree into a Valentine tree when her oldest daughter was about 3. They made the cutest paper hearts and wrote who they loved on each one. It was adorbz. I tried to convince her to make shamrocks for St. Paddy's, etc., but sadly, they moved to central OK and the tree was packed away. My hubs would never let me do that, but I have IDEAS!!

(The smaller the tree, the better!) Starting with December - regular Christmas tree; January - New Year's tree - plastic champagne glasses, noise makers, paper hats; February - pink lights, paper hearts; March - green lights, shamrocks, tiny plastic beer mugs, gold coins in tiny plastic buckets; April (or March depending on when Easter falls) - Easter eggs, pastel lights, those bunny-shaped jingle bells, tiny baskets; May - Mothers' Day - baby bibs, old photos of moms, handmade kids' art; June - Fathers' Day - same baby bibs, old photos of dads, same handmade kids' art, beer cans (if appropriate); July - red, white, & blue lights, fake fireworks (or defused with gunpowder removed), those firework-shaped tinsel picks, flags; August - Back to School - rulers, glue bottles, erasers, pencils, crayons, etc.; September - I'd leave up the school supplies; October - Halloween - sucker ghosts or Kleenex ghosts, black & orange lights, black cats, fake candy; November - Thanksgiving - hand-turkeys, fall leaves, acorns, etc. ...AND there you have it - year-round Holiday Trees. (UGH! I hate that name.) ;)
