Happy Hunger Games Day!

Wow.  So, it's finally here!  The Hunger Games movie will be in theaters tonight/tomorrow at 12:01am.  I've got my District 12 Tribute shirt on, my Mockingjay earrings, tickets, and swag bags for mah girlz...I'm ready!

I've been waiting so long.  I can't believe it's here.  I've been a huge fan of this trilogy since I read the first book in 2008...waited (im)patiently for Catching Fire and even more (im)patiently for Mockingjay.  I have high expectations for the movie and I'm willing to bet that it doesn't disappoint.  The cinematography looks amazing and it's filled with talented actors/actresses.  I get major goosebumps every time I see a trailer.  You would think after a while I'd become immune to the same 2 minutes of footage, but nope.  Impulsive and Kiss are going with me tonight.  I'm sure we will be the picture of perfect line waiters...except for the "provisions" in the form of tiny bottles I've purchased.

As a "Happy Hunger Games Day" surprise, I got an email from a guy who works with The Daily Beast and he asked my permission to include my Mockingjay tattoo into an article they posted today titled '10 Die-Hard 'Hunger Games' Fans and Tattoos' uses the terms "fanatical" and "extreme" to describe the 10 fans' tattoos that are in the gallery.  (Mine is #5, in case you wanna take a peak)  I am SO NOT "fanatical" or "extreme"

To wrap up this HG post, I'll leave you with some ideas, free printables, and past posts about The Hunger Games.  If you haven't read the books yet, DO IT!  NOW.  You could have the whole trilogy read over the weekend.  No excuses.

You are about the cutest thing in the world! I told my mom to read the books because you said they were so great...She did then she gave them to me. Instead of reading them I sent them to my aunt~ So my friend just online loaned them to me to read on my iPad. I haven't started them "yet" but will in the next couple of days. You make me excited to read them!
P.S. I loved the article, thought your tatt was the classiest!

I'm hoping to get to see it this weekend. I haven't read any of the books, but was hooked on the movie when I saw the trailer during Breaking Dawn.

HG was MY Twilight. I loved it like a fat chick loves a buffet, in Shawn's words. Or, actually just the truth in my case. :)

How funny I just bought the book today. Apparently I am REALLY behind?

We are going tonight! So excited! Couldn't swing the midnight showing as it was a little hard to find a baby sitter at midnight.
I have almost cried every-time I watch the trailer!

You crack me up. Love it. I'm hoping I actually get to see the film in the movie theatre and not on my TV at home. :)

Can't believe you were on the Daily Beast... that's bada**! I love how you do things to the "1,000 degree". What did you think of the movie? My sister is visiting me next week and we're going to go together so I have to wait a few more days. I'm going crazy!

ahhhh I'm so jealous. I have to wait until Match's day off to see the movie because he actually wants to see it (yay!). I'm so tempted to watch it early and then lie and say I haven't. But that would be bad. But the waiting is killing me.

I love your tattoo! That's awesome! And the fact that it got featured in an article-even better!

Hmmm why couldn't I comment on your swag bag? I thought that was a really cute and clever idea. I should have brought tissue but I didn't think I would cry for some reason knowing I cried when I read the book! I thought the movie was good except we saw it in imax and were sitting way.too close and the cinematography was really jumpy in some parts. I cant wait to rent it..or watch a bootleg nonlinear :)
