Friday Confessions

WHAT? It's already Friday...again? HALLELUJAH!

So, what to confess, what to confess...

Oooo, I got something.

  • I didn't wash my hair...two days in a row. These mornings getting Isaiah up and ready for school are doing me in! I don't want him to be late. Any of you who know me very well know that he was CONSISTENTLY late to preschool. Thank goodness they didn't care, because we were never there on time...ever. So, I'm totally paranoid that we're going to fall back into the late pattern and that's just out of the question. Therefore, my hair goes unwashed two mornings in a row. Don't snarl your nose! I'm showering, just not washing my hair. This curly mess that I call hair takes at least 10 minutes, and 10 minutes makes a HUGE difference of whether we're late or JUST IN TIME! I've got to do better next week!
  • I was attempting to be really good at McDonald's last night (Isaiah picked the restaurant) and I ordered a salad...and french fries. See, I'm just thinking that they balance each other out...and fries are made out of potatoes...and potatoes are a vegetable...or at least come out of the ground...sooooo...ok, whatever. I ATE FRENCH FRIES! Who cares??!...OK, these thunder thighs care, so what.
  • I intentionally "misplaced" Isaiah's fundraiser thingy. I HATE FUNDRAISERS! Here take all my money, but pleeeeeaaaasssseeee don't make me sell anything! We've already been handed THREE...3...fundraisers between school and soccer. Hello! We just got started! These one fundraiser postcards you're supposed to fill out with your family's name and address and there is a little line where you write who the postcard is from...I really want to write "From: Isaiah, P.S. don't buy any of this crap."
  • I have a million and one things on my to-do list and it's growing instead of shrinking...and it's driving me NUTS-O! I was just complaining to my mom about how I have so much on my list of things to do. We were in Michaels and I picked up these nifty little notepads, one was a To-Do List and the other was a weekly planner...she was like "that's just what you need, more places to write down all the things you haven't done." Thanks, Mom, for the vote of confidence.

Hope everyone is having a FABULOUS Friday!

Is it over yet? I'm sooooo ready to blow this joint!

I love that you had salad and frenc fries. It actually sounds really good together! Did you get ranch dressing for the salad and dip the fries in it??

I wash my hair every other day because it is actually a better hair day for me on the second day. Also? I have 25 pounds of hair. It takes me an hour to blow it dry and do all the "stuff" to it. I'm a big fan of slick it back and twist it into a knot.

Tell your mom to be nice or Isaiah will make her buy some magazines...

Yes, fries are veggies.

I wash my hair every other too so I definitely am with ya...its the last thing I care about when I have to get up and get my daughter off to school. Lucky for me all I have to do is drop her off so no one sees me anyway!

Your Mommy is so funny!

So understand the hair washing thing. I mean, getting your kid to school on time takes priority!

I always thought people with curly hair were very cool : ) Of course I think you are the coolest.

I need you to live next door so you can motivate me on my diet : )

Isn't it normal to go three or four days without washing your hair...that's what I do!:-) Loved the list, and hope your weekend is wonderful!

I don't wash my hair as much as I use to either since I had Tara. It's hard to find time. Some days I just take a quick 5 min shower & don't wash my hair.

I only wash my hair every 2-3 days, I beat you. My hair gets dry. I'm sure you look great..

I don't even keep track of how many days I go in between washing my hair! When it looks likes it needs it, I do it! I think that hair washing is everyone "dirty" little secret. Literally!

My hair stylist admitted to me once that she only washes her hair once every seven days! Now, granted I certainly don't go that long, but she did tell me that washing and drying is about the hardest thing you can do to your hair. So rest assured you are actually making your hair healthier by not washing it.

OMG... I LOVE McDonald's french fries!

I feel the same way about fundraisers. I have already been approached to buy something and the kids just went back on Tuesday! I couldn't believe it!

I like your Mom's comment :) Lists are just for organizing so you don't forget things - you'll get to them eventually! I finally have my motion lights that were on a list for 6 years. Only because they stayed on the list.

Salad and french fries TOTALLY balance each other out!

Also...I hate those fundraisers too! We actually made a policy in our school that we wouldn't participate in those kinds of fundraisers!

The only fundraiser I'm interested in is the candy bars that I sold in high school which I'm sure they don't make anymore. Goodness those were awesome candy bars....

I think that to-do list things is going to work out GREAT for you!

Oh how I hate it when we(I mean, my son) are late for school. Our school requires the parent come into the school and tell the office why the child was late. Don't even think about dropping your kid off at the door and driving away - they call you on the phone.

Have a great week and good luck with getting to school on time!!
