Friend Makin' Monday - I ♥ SPRING!

1. Favorite things about Spring:  What is NOT to love about spring...newness, rebirth, green, blooms, fresh dirt, gardening, being outdoors.
2. What I'm doing for Spring Break:  We just had Spring Break.  Isaiah hung out with me at work most of the time.  We went to some of our favorite restaurants and hang out spots.  Friday we went to the Aquarium.  It was fun!

3. Favorite Spring flower: daffodils

4. Do you have a garden? Yes, a flower garden.  I'm wanting to till up a vegetable garden out at my mom and dad's farm this year.  I get the feeling that I'm a little behind, but I think I'll go ahead and give it a try.  This year's harvest may not be the best, but it will be a start.
5. If so, what do you grow. In my flower garden, I usually have petunias, begonias, vincas, and verigated grasses.  When I eventually plant a real garden, I'll definitely plant cucumbers, potatoes, onions, corn, green beans and beets...oooooo, and strawberries.

6. Do you do Spring cleaning?  Yes, usually.  At the very least, I do spring organizing and purging.

7. What is your weather *really* like right now? {Just b/c it's "officially" spring, doesn't mean that it feels like it for some of you}  Well, yesterday and Saturday were just plain dreary...snow, blowing cold winds, ice.  Yuck.  However, today is a whole new story, 60's and sunshine!  Hello, Spring!
8. Snapped any weather related photos lately? Share one with us!
Happy FIRST Day of Spring!

9. What's your favorite thing to do on a sunny afternoon? take a walk, play at the park with Isaiah, soak up some natural vitamin d...a total mood booster.

10. Favorite TV show right now?  Ugly Betty.  I'm so sad that it's in the final season.  Boo.

I hope everyone is having a better Monday than me.  Tuesday has GOT to be better. ♥
Go see Amber for more FMMs!!

New Moon Party Tips and Last Minute Ideas

We all know what today is, right?  Friday.  Right, good answer.  There's something else though.

New Moon DVD Release?!?!  Ding, ding, ding.  Tell her what she's won!

So, I thought there might be some of you out there planning a last minute New Moon shindig and that you might need some last minute ideas and tips.  I've compliled a collage from my New Moon Party that I hosted last year before the midnight premiere.  I'm going to try to link you up to some quick and easy party ideas (highlighted in RED).

  1. If you party is further down the road, like in the next couple of weeks, it's still not too late to send out some invites and set the tone for your party.  If you're wanting to do a party on the fly, then just text/e-mail some friends and tell them the when, where, what time, etc. (Links to invitation ideas - go HERE and HERE)

  2. Plan your menu, even if you're just having chips and dip, you need to know what you're going to have so you can be prepared (and possibly ask your fellow twi-hards to chip in)! (Links to recipes - go HERE and HERE)

  3. Plan your outfit!  That's one of the most fun parts!  Get creative, but remember that you'll want to be comfortable.

  4. Create some cute and original decorations/centerpieces.  Give your guests something to talk about while they're eating their mushroom ravioli or sipping their vampire martini soda. (For ideas - click HERE or HERE)

  5. Have some goodies for your friends to take home!  Everybody loves some swag! (Ideas?  Click HERE and HERE )

  6. See Above

  7. See Above

  8. Create a Candy Bar - your guests will love it!  Plus, it goes perfectly with movie viewing...you can't have a movie party without some chocolate and candy to munch on!  (See what I put on my Candy Bar HERE)

  9. Invite lots of friends!

  10. Especially these guys!  (HERE is where you can order your very own Life-Size Edward and Jacob)

  11. One of my favorite places to go to for printable quotes from the movie and general party planning ideas is The Hostess with the Mostess - love her!!  Click HERE for her site.

  12.  Play some fun games - like Pin the Kiss on Edward or Pin the Kiss on Jacob!  We had so much fun!  Just buy a large poster and print out some kissy lips on address labels.  Play like pin the tail on the donkey - blind fold guests, give them a lips sticker, spin them, and let them go!  Whoever is closest to those kissable lips wins a prize.  You HAVE to have prizes!

  13. Every New Moon party needs Edward and Jacob paper plates - available right now at Wal-Mart, Target, and many many on-line shops.  Take your pick!  I bought some last weekend just for safe keeping.  You never know when you'll need them.

  14. Set the mood for your party with some fun twilight-ish decorations.  Make your guests feel like they're in Forks.

  15. Lots of balloons...and red, black, and gold.

  16. Don't forget to kick up your feet and enjoy!

OHMANOHMANOHMAN...I'm having a small heart thing right now looking at all this awesome stuff.

Jacob on a bookmark...I don't have that, I could sleep with that....in my pillow. Sweet dreams...ahh.

I'm weird. Okay, I'll stop now. But not in my head. I want.

March 12, 2010 10:42 AM

Mimi and I share great laughs and conversations over our beloved Jacob and Edward.  I know that she'll LOVE getting a package of Twilight goodness.  It's so funny because most of the items in the giveaway lean toward the Wolf Pack and we know that Mimi's boyfriend is part of the Wolf Pack...coincidence?  I think not.  It was FATE!  Congrats, Mimi! :) I'll be sending you an e-mail shortly to get your address!!

ALSO, just a friendly reminder from your local Twi-hard...

EEEeeeeeeee!!!!

Can I just say that I am SO excited!  I can hardly wait to have that DVD in my hand and at my disposal.  I even bought some more Edward and Jacob paper plates.  I'm not sure what I'm going to use them for just yet, but I know I'll think of something.  I did kind of get called out by my 6 year old neice as I was tossing them in the shopping cart.  She says, "Aunt Jenny, don't you already have some of those?"  I say, "why yes, Gracie, I do."  She says, "Soooo why are you buying more."  I say, "MYOB because I might run out and that wouldn't be good...you should always have an ample supply of Edward and Jacob paper plates."  She just giggled.  She knows her Aunt Jenny is crazy.  My cousin, Allison, and I are going to our local Border's for their DVD release party.  Any guesses on how many people over the age of 18 will be there...besides us?

Oh, and one last notable thought...I just posted my 300th post!  Crazy?!  Why, yes it is.  I can't believe I've made 300 blog posts.  So, come back and see me next week for another giveaway!

Eclipse Sneek Peek

Have you seen this 2 minute sneek peek of Eclipse?

This gets me so pumped for the movie...and I can't wait to see the 8 minute clip that is on the New Moon DVD deluxe edition from Wal-Mart!  So excited!  However, I'm trying to pull myself back from the edge a little.  I don't want to know too much.  I still want to be surprised and experience Eclipse for the first time on the big screen.  With New Moon, I felt like I had practically seen the movie before it ever came out, because I had watched so many trailers and teasers and behind the scenes footage.

A few things that bring me great delight:
  • Jasper's hair...looks soooooo much better than New Moon!
  • Rosalie's hair...looks 10 times better than Twilight and New Moon put together.
  • Seeing the newborn vampires...lots of action in this 3rd movie and it's going to be thrilling to watch!
  • The sets/scenes look phenomenal
  • Edward and Jacob's level of hottness...can I get an AMEN up in this blog?!
  • I can't wait to see what David Slade brings to the Saga!
Don't forget to go and enter my giveaway (sorry, Mimi...I forgot I was supposed to keep it on the down low.)  Click HERE to enter.  Who is going to pick up their New Moon DVD at midnight Friday night?? (besides me)  I might have another giveaway coming up next week and it might have to do with said New Moon DVD.  Stay tuned.

I am...having a Twilight/New Moon Giveaway on my blog right now...go HERE to comment and enter!

I think...I'm ready for Spring.
I should...be working instead of blogging.
I dream...in color and about weird things...often related to what I'm reading when I fall asleep (achem...Twilight)
I want...my whole family to know Christ and for the world to be at peace.
I know...random things.
I don't like...mean people.  They suck.
I smell...a baked apple pie candle that I bought from the Calvary Boys Ranch.
I hear...the copier going.
I fear...loss.
I usually...have Pocket Edward close by.

I search...the web for info about RPattz/Twilight/NewMoon/Eclipse/Taylor/KStew/cute clothes/cute shoes/things with zebra print/birdies for my bathroom/random things.
I miss...my Grandpa Norman.  He went to be with Jesus earlier this year.  My niece, Gracie, her and my step-brother moved back to Washington.  My cousin, Lindz, because she lives in ATL...and she should come home! Just my PO. Friends who I haven't seen in TOO long or friends I've never seen in person before...I still miss them.
I always...burp.  I know, real lady like.  I'm just keepin' it real people.
I regret...nothing.  I live with no regrets.  I truly believe that EVERYTHING happens for a reason.
I wonder...what Edward and Bella are doing right now?
I crave...Starbucks.  I know coffee isn't a common thing people crave, but it's what I crave.
I remember...moments of extreme emotions.  I usually can remember everything...smells, scenes...what I was wearing, who I was with...etc.
I need...more sleep.  I hate this time change bizness.
I forget...what it was like before Isaiah came along.

I feel...distracted.
I can...do all things.
I can't...is not in my vocabulary. :)
I am happy...when others are happy.
I lose...my Social Security card.  I never can find that thing when I need it.
I sing...in the car...very loudly.
I listen...to a little bit of everything...Kari Jobe, Consumed By Fire, Casting Crowns, Beyonce, Jay-Z, T.I., Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Warren G, Tone Loc
I shop...frequently.  I love shopping at Coach, Target, Khol's, and White House Black Market.
I eat...pretty healthy.  Sometimes I slip off the wagon on the weekends, but I usually hop right back on come Monday morning.
I love...this time of year...Come on, Spring!

THE Official Twilight Convention - ATL 2010...AND Eclipse Trailer!!

There is SO much excitement in Twi-land!  Have you seen the Eclipse teaser and/or trailer yet??
For those who haven't...don't waste any more time...Here's the TRAILER...(Feel free to watch it as much as you want...I don't charge for parking. :)

OHMYTWILIGHTGOODNESS (OMTG...from here on out)!!!  How exciting is that?  Goosebumps?  Check.  Elevated blood pressure?  Check.  Tear in eye?  Check. (Quit judging me...it's emotional!)  Edward just saying her name at the beginning is enough to get me, and then you throw Jacob's bit in there "I'll fight for you until your heart stops beating"....holy smokes, does it get any sweeter than that?  Oh, to be Bella Swan for a day...a girl can dream.

Who wants to talk Twilight Convention?  Me!  I do!  I do!

Most asked questions...

Was it fun?  Hmmmm.  Let me check.  DUH!  Let's just say that it was beyond fun...it was amazing...I need to invent a new word for how fun it was.

Would I do it again?  That would be a yes!  I'm hooked.  When's the next one?  Sign me up!

Would I get Gold Package again?  Absolutely, YES!  It was well worth it.  We were on the 4th row and it was easy to get great pictures.  We also had tickets to all of the extras.  It was nice to be first in line for autographs.  I would definitely go gold again.

What was the best part?  It's just too hard to choose...but the highlights are meeting all seven stars.  I went in being so super excited to meet Peter Facinelli (which was amazing...if I say "amazing" one more time, just change my name to Jake and put me on the Bachelor), and it was definitely a highlight...probably at the top of the list.  He is so down to earth and super funny.  I was just hanging on every.single.word.he.said.  What I thought was interesting was that I was excited to see each star because of the role they play in the Twilight Saga, but I left being a personal fan.  I love each and every one of them for who they are and not just for the role they play.  Does that make sense?

My most memorable conversation was with Michael Welch (Mike Newton).  It was at the end of a long day and we were waiting in line for his autograph.  We were having fun conversations with all the people we were standing in line with and goofing off.  So, by the time we got to the table to get our autograph, we were being silly and cutting up (which is right up his alley...he is SUCH a clown!).  I was telling him how good his coffee smelled...and how I wish I had some Starbucks about right now.  We hadn't ate ALL day.  (One of the prices you pay to be at Twi Con...we referred to it as the Twi Con Diet...everybody should try it. =P)  So, he starts sipping on his coffee...really slowly...savoring each sip.  All the while, we're just standing there waiting on our autograph.  I told him how unfair it was and that he was basically a punk (yeah, I might of said those exact words...while laughing, of course).  THEN, he offers me a drink of his coffee!  I thought he was joking at first, but after us discussing the fact that I don't have cooties, I realized that he was being completely serious.  I wouldn't do it because I thought he would probably just throw it away after I walked off...but now I'm not sure that he would of, he's pretty crazy like that.  I told him I couldn't see a good cup of coffee go to waste...that is just wrong.  We had a good laugh.  It was fun interacting with him.

Gil Birmingham (Billy Black) is from Texas, and being the big time Sooner fans that my cousin Lindsay and I are, we decided we needed to find out if he was a UT (Longhorns) fan.  I would like to assure that he is NOT.  Whew, what a relief.  Funny thing was that he didn't even know who we were talking about.  He's not a football fan.  We told him we wouldn't hold it against him.

An unexpected surprise was the cast of the internet phenom Hillywood Show.  They were so super cool and played their roles so well!  Sometimes I felt like I was looking at THE Jacob or THE Jasper...they were so so good.  Hilly and Hannah are amazing talents.  They're geniuses at this parody stuff.  You should check them out online.  You can find them at http://www.thehillywoodshow.com/ !

I collected a few things while at the Convention to giveaway...how does a little Twilight Convention/New Moon Giveaway sound???  Come back tomorrow for a peak at what I have to give away and the details on how to enter!

To see all of my pictures from The Official Twilight Convention Atlanta 2010, go to my facebook page - www.facebook.com/jennykate77 .  I have my pictures set to public for now or you can just send me a friend request if you would like!
(I have a whole album dedicated to the Adventures of Pocket Edward...you don't want to miss it.)

I hope you are all having a great week!  I'm trying to resume to my normal routine...and hopefully I'll get around to visiting all my favorite bloggers soon!!  I miss you guys when I'm not here♥

On The Wings Of...Lust

Yes, Jake picked the Hillbilly Backwoods Debutante, Vienna. I was not shocked. I didn't read any spoilers, but I was reading Jake and I'm pretty sure that he said that stuff to Tenley on the boat to kind of warn her about what was going to happen.  Tenley is so so super sweet.  She definitely deserves to have someone who is going to love her as much as she loves them.  I guess if Jake had any hesitations, I'm glad he let her go...better now than down the road.
I may be reacting a little harshly, but I really truly feel like Jake picked Vienna because he's attracted to her physically and not much more. On a side note, did you guys notice that she was already talking trash about Tenley to Jake's sister-in-laws?!  She is such a little trouble-maker!  I think she'll be causin' trouble for Jake down the road.  I may be wrong. It's happened before. We'll see how it goes.

My husband has officially banned The Bachelor from our living room.  (whateva)  I'm stoked about Ali being the next Bachelorette.  Michael also said there would be no more DWTS (he gets real carried away with his bans)...that was until he saw that Erin Andrews was going to be a contestant, so we're back on for DWTS.  My pre-season favorites are Olympian, Evan Lysacek and ESPN reporter, Erin Andrews...only because she's dancing with Maks.

Who is your pre-season pick for DWTS?

3.01.2010

Monday, Monday.

I'm sorry for the lack of blogging. It's not been intentional. I've had this yucky sinus junk and just have not been feeling myself lately.

Plus, I've had this little guy at work with me some the past couple of weeks.

Which one do you like better?  I've been playing around with some photo editing in Picnik.

It seems like Isaiah is out of school every time I turn around. We've had lots of snow and ice days this year, and then you add on the "professional days" and holidays and it just gets crazy!

Guess what this week is???

Did you guess?

If you guessed that it is THE OFFICIAL Twilight Convention, then you would be absolutely correct! I fly to Atlanta on Thursday. My cousin, Lindsay, is picking me up from the airport and we are meeting up with some friends for dinner in Peach Tree City that night. There's a little twist to the dinner though. These friends we're meeting are a couple of friends who I met on Cafemom and now keep up with through Facebook. So, it's going to be super exciting to finally meet them in person.

The convention starts on Friday! Gold Weekend Patrons (that's us!) get to pre-register at 11:00 on Friday. We'll be there with bells on...we definitely don't want to miss a thing! Friday is the day we get to see Peter Facinelli!   Woot!

I think he's definitely the person I am most excited about seeing. The event that I am most looking forward to is the Volturi Ball on Saturday night!! I love my dress and shoes that I bought and I can't wait to wear them!

I'm taking my laptop and I plan on trying to blog while I'm there. We'll see how that goes. I may at least be able to post some pics and do a short post. I will definitely be posting on Facebook and Twitter. So, if you follow me on one of those sites, you'll be able to see some pics and read my ramblings from TwiCon.

One thing I'm not looking forward to is leaving Isaiah for almost 5 days! I'm going to be away from him for 4 nights! That's the longest I've ever been gone from him. I hadn't really thought much about it until now. Up to this point, I had just thought of Twilight and being in Atlanta with Lindsay...and how much fun all of that was going to be. I told him last night how much I was going to miss him and he said that if I miss him too much I could call him...thanks, Buddy. I'm thinking it'll be harder on me than it will be on him.

I'm planning on doing a giveaway of stuff from the convention! I haven't decided what might be in that giveaway just yet...I may not know until I'm there and see what I find to include in it. Any ideas? Requests? =) Stuff you think would be cool?

Thank You, Summit!

Summit has announced that the first official Eclipse teaser trailer will run before Remember Me.
~
I don't know about you guys, but that makes me uber happy.  An Eclipse trailer and seeing Rob in Remember Me in one night, that's so flippin' exciting!
~
March is like starting the down hill slope to Eclipse.  First, the trailer and Remember Me on March 12.  Then, the New Moon DVD release the next week.  I'm sure after that they will start putting out Eclipse merchandise and marketing for the movie.  Before you know it I'll be making post about the Eclipse party plans, which by the way, have already started.  I like to refer to it as "Jenny and Allison's Excellent Eclipse Party".
~
One last note, did everyone see the leaked Eclipse stills?  Apparently, Summit had not authorized for them to be released...so, they were removed from most sights faster than the speed of Edward.  But, let me tell you...they were HOTT!  Eclipse is going to be Ah-MAZING!  I have them saved to my phone, but can't figure out how to save them to my computer wouldn't want to post pictures without permission. {if you haven't seen them and really wanted to see them, you could e-mail me and i might be able to hook you up.}

So, although Summit took back the yummy pictures, they're still on my good side for announcing that the Eclipse trailer is COMING SOON!

Hope you are all having a wonderful week so far!

Eat Music

I don't know about you guys, but I pretty much eat, drink, and sleep music.  I listen to it at my desk at work.  It's playing in my car non-stop.  I have ear buds in when I'm exercising.  I LOVE music.  One of my favorite bands is Consumed By Fire.  They're a group of super talented guys from Oklahoma.  {okay, they may or may not be my most favoritest cousins}  Regardless of how I may or may not know them, they are worth your time to take a listen.  They have a few demo songs on their myspace page {CLICK HERE}.  Their website is currently under construction {http://www.consumedbyfire.net/}.  Recently, they signed with a production company and are currently in Nashville, TN working on their 13 song album that will be out later this year.  All the songs are written by Caleb and Jordan, who are 16 and 20 years old respectively. {like I said, uber talented} I am beyond proud of them.

This is a picture I took of them at their last concert before they left for Nashville.

This week they're getting the chance of a lifetime and they're recording at The Sound Kitchen in Nashville.  Tons of famous groups and artists have recorded there like Chicago, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Earth Wind and Fire, Trisha Yearwood...just to name a few.

I'll be updating as their album making process progresses.

Do me a favor and look them up on myspace or check out some of their videos on YouTube.  I promise you won't be disappointed.

On a side note, I learned how to make my pictures that I download to my blog bigger thanks to Robin @ The Robin's Nest - Go HERE for her Bigger Blogger Pictures 101.  Thanks, Robin!!

Hope you're all having a wonderful Wednesday!!

Nothing Specific

I just wanted to blog today...no specific topic...no specific reason...nothing specific to say or tell.
What can I say? Sometimes I just really miss you guys. {awe}
Surprise, surprise...I'm not even going to mention Twilight...oops, okay...I'm not going to for the rest of this post.
It's Tuesday. The sun is shining {a little} here in Tulsa. I'm feeling a lift in my spirits just from the brief sunshine. I can feel my body soaking up the vitamin D. I had some Starbucks too, in a really cute cup with a {heart} on the side♥ I'm guessing it's left over from Valentine's Day, but I think it should be the standard Starbucks cup...well, maybe they could switch out between the red cup from Christmas and this one.
Speaking of Valentine's Day, I had a good one. Me and my sweetheart went to dinner at Red Lobster, that's like our date night stand-by...can't go wrong with Cheddar Bay Biscuits, shrimp, and crab legs. Then we went and watched Valentine's Day, which I highly recommend. I know there are some mixed reviews, but I thought it was super funny and really cute. It starts out as one of those predictable chick flicks {which I love}, but it's not as predictable as you think. It has a few surprises. Plus, there is some serious eye candy. Can't go wrong there.
How was your Valentine's Day? How's your week going? I REALLY want to know.

Happy Birthday to One HOTT Warewolf!

So, it's official, Jacob is no longer jail-bait! I know this will make a few of my bloggy (and non-bloggy) friends VERY happy! It's nice to know that we can legally drool over his ripped non-shirted chest. I pray that he never finds his shirt again...ever. I was trying to think of a good way to celebrate...going shirtless? nah. phasing? don't have the right genes. sitting in a HOT 108 degrees sauna so that I can pretend that Jacob is in the room? possibly. eating some muffins? good possibility. I was thinking that I could share with you some of my fav Jacob stills from New Moon and a few of my favorite Jacob quotes from the books.

"I’m not good enough to be your friend anymore, or anything else. I’m not what I was before. I’m not good."

"Sometimes, loyalty gets in the way of what you want to do. Sometimes, it’s not your secret to tell."

"Look, do you mind saving the stupid stuff for when I’m around? I won’t be able to concentrate if I think you’re jumping off cliffs behind my back."

"Hunting vampires is fun. It’s the best part of this whole mess."

"Who’s afraid of the big, bad wolf?"

"Did you seriously just stamp your foot? I thought girls only did that on TV."

"Does my being half-naked bother you?"

"You love me, too. Not the same way, I know. But he’s not your whole life, either. Not anymore. Maybe he was once, but he left. And now he’s just going to have to deal with the consequence of that choice — me."

...and for later down the road...this is one of my many favorite lines from Breaking Dawn, as Jacob has so many great lines in the last couple books...my heart was happy during this part that's why it's one of my all-time favs...
"Bella, things are different with us now, but you’ll always be my best friend, and I’ll always love you. But I’ll love you the right way now. There’s finally a balance. We both have people we can’t live without."

Happy Birthday, Jacob...er, I mean, Taylor!

Do you have a favorite Jacob line you'd like to share?

What Is TwiCon?

So, I've had several of you ask me..."What the heck is TwiCon?"

Welllll, I'm going to tell you.

It's a convention all about Twilight, duh!

Ok, so there's a little more to it than that. Not every Twi Con on the Twi Tour is exactly the same. They differ from city to city. However, at every Twi Con you can be guaranteed to see Twilight stars, panels from Twilight websites, vendors selling Twilight souvenirs, autographs, photo ops, a concert, a party, and TONS of fellow Twilight fans!

Here's what's happening at the Twi Con that I'll be attending in Atlanta (I'm so excited. I might pee my pants.)...

On Friday...

  • Peter Facinelli, aka Dr. Cullen (EEEeeeeeeee!!! I hope you can hear my squeals of delight from over here), will be there talking about the Twilight Saga, signing autographs, and taking pictures.

It'll go a little something like this...

  • A concert featuring a performance by Michael Welch, aka Mike Newton, and another musical guest(s) who hasn't been announced yet. This event will be hosted by none other than Dr. Cullen himself! yay.

On Saturday...

  • Members of the Volturi will be there, I hope no vampires decide to expose themselves to the humans...things could get ugly. Daniel Cudmore, aka Felix, and Christopher Heyerdahl, aka Marcus, will be there talking Twilight, signing autographs, and doing photo ops. Michael Welch, aka Mike Newton, will also be there on Saturday.

  • Later that evening, there will be a Volturi Ball hosted by the Volturi. During the ball, there is a costume contest, a centerpiece contest, and lots of prizes and awards. The winners of the trivia contest from earlier in the day win a makeover and are presented at the ball. Lots of fun and excitement!

On Sunday...

  • We get to meet two members of the Wolf Pack. The HOTT (108 degrees) Kiowa Gordon, aka Embry Call, and Bronson Pelletier, aka Jared, will be there answering questions, signing autographs, taking photo ops...and trying to keep their clothes on...hopefully they don't succeed. Did I type that outloud? Ooops. (If you're reading this Michael, I'm only adding that in there for entertainment purposes.)

(For those that don't know (shame on you), Embry Call is the farthest to the right and Jared is the one right next to him.)

The Hillywood cast are the hosts of the whole weekend. If you don't know who they are, you should look them up on YouTube. I also posted a video of them a couple of weeks ago, you could CLICK HERE and take a peek at the video. It's fantastic! They have also received permission from Summit to show Twilight on the big screen. Twilight related fan sites, Twilight Lexicon and TwiMoms, will be represented and hold panels for Q&A sessions.

So, to make a long story short, it will be a whole weekend of nothing but Twilight!

I.CAN.NOT.WAIT.

Friend Makin' Monday

For today's FMMs, Amber asked us to fill out this writing prompt from The Simple Woman's Daybook

I've seen this meme on other people's blogs before, but have never done one myself. I always enjoy reading them though. So, here goes...

Outside my window...the sun is shining and the sky is blue. You would think that it's a breezy summer day from inside, but the tree outside my window proves different with it's bare limbs.

It's very deceiving.

I am thinking...about my week and all I have to accomplish. Making my lists.

I am thankful...for everything. Just waking up this morning was a huge blessing.

I am praying...for Haiti, a friend of a friend who is battling cancer, finances to do some things I want to do this year with our house, a good productive week.

I am reading...Twilight (again), Grace for the Moment by Max Lucado

I am creating...a big mess of papers on my desk. Need to get organized.

From the kitchen...I put on a new (slightly altered) WW recipe in the crock pot this morning - Slow Cook Chicken Burritos. I'll let you guys know how they taste.

Around the house...I'm PURGING! Getting rid of things. Giving things away. Organizing.

One of my favorite things...getting a mani and a pedi...which I got last night.

A few plans for the rest of the week...Finish some projects in the evenings. Girls Night on Saturday.

Go over to Amber's blog to join in FMMs! (Click HERE)

Fav Weight Watcher Recipes

Here's a few of my fav WW recipes!

Shrimp and Angel Hair Pasta - 8 points for 1 serving - makes 4 servings

3 medium scallion(s), chopped
1 Tbsp fresh oregano, or 2 tsp dried
1 tsp lemon zest
3 oz feta cheese
1 cup(s) plain fat-free yogurt
14 1/2 oz canned diced tomatoes, drained (I use Rotel for a little kick)
1/8 tsp black pepper, or to taste
8 oz uncooked angel hair pasta
8 oz shrimp, medium-size, cleaned, peeled and deveined
1/8 tsp table salt, or to taste

Bring a large pot of salted water to boil.

In a food processor, process scallions, oregano and lemon zest until scallions are finely minced (or just chop them up, if you're short on time). Add half the feta cheese, crumbling and reserving remaining feta in a small bowl. Add yogurt and blend until smooth. Transfer to a bowl and stir in diced tomatoes and reserved feta. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Add shrimp to boiling water and cook until done, about 2 minutes (less if you are using small shrimp). Remove shrimp with a slotted spoon and add to sauce. Do not drain water. When water returns to boil, add pasta and cook until al dente, about 2 minutes. Combine with sauce and serve.

You can substitute chicken for the shrimp. You can also add Kalmata olives for a greek flair! It's Yummy!

Cheesy Chili-Mac - 5 points per serving - makes 8 servings

1 spray(s) cooking spray
2/3 pound(s) raw extra lean ground beef
2 medium onion(s), chopped
29 oz canned crushed tomatoes, Mexican-style (undrained)
2 1/2 cup(s) canned tomato juice
4 oz canned green chili peppers, diced, drained
2 tsp chili powder
1 1/2 cup(s) uncooked macaroni, elbow-size
31 oz canned pinto beans, rinsed and drained
1/2 cup(s) low-fat shredded cheddar cheese
(sometimes I use 2 cans of Rotel in place of the 29 oz can crushed tomatoes and the 4 oz can green chilis)

Coat a large skillet with cooking spray; set over medium-high heat. Cook beef and onion until meat is browned, stirring and breaking up meat with a spoon as it cooks, about 10 minutes; drain off fat.
Stir in undrained tomatoes and their juice, tomato juice, chili peppers and chili powder; bring mixture to a boil.
Stir in macaroni and beans; return to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until macaroni is tender, about 15 minutes. Spoon chili into bowls and sprinkle with cheese. Yields about 1 cup chili and 1 tablespoon cheese per serving.

Taco Soup - 2 points per cup

•1 lb. ground turkey or lean beef
•1 large onion, chopped
•1 (1 oz.) package Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix
•1 (1 oz) package Taco Seasoning Mix
•1 (16 oz.) can pinto beans
•1 (16 oz) can chili beans (either hot or regular)
•1 (16 oz) can whole kernel corn
•1 (8 oz) can Mexican-style tomatoes
•1 (8 oz) can diced tomatoes (any flavor)

Directions
1.Brown meat & onions and drain.
2.Mix Ranch & Taco seasonings into meat.
3.Add rest of ingredients, undrained to mixture.
4.Simmer 1 hour.

This is delish served w/ baked tortilla chips and low fat shredded cheese.

Chocolate Cake - 2 points for 1/12 of the cake

1 devils food cake mix
1 - 15 oz can of pumpkin

Mix together. Bake according to directions on cake mix. It's sooooooo moist and yummy!

Chocolate Pie w/ Peanut Butter Crust - 3 points for 1/6 of the pie

1 box sugar free chocolate pudding
2 cups skim milk
1 1/2 cups rice crispies
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp peanut butter

Make pudding according to the pie recipe on the box. Set aside in refrigerator to set up. Mix together honey, peanut butter, and rice crispies. Press mixture into a pie pan. Spoon pudding into crust. Allow to set up in refrigerator for about an hour (or until the pie is set). Top w/ sugar free whipped topping! Soooooooo good!

Oatmeal Pecan Lace Cookies - 2 points per cookie - recipe should yield 18 cookies

1 1/4 cup(s) rolled oats
1/2 cup(s) dark brown sugar, packed
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup(s) chopped pecans, finely chopped
1/8 tsp table salt
1/3 cup(s) butter, melted
1 large egg(s), beaten
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350ºF and cover 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper.
Mix oats, sugar, baking powder, pecans and salt together in a large bowl until well incorporated.
Add butter, egg and vanilla to oat mixture; mix well.
Drop teaspoonfuls of batter onto prepared cookie sheets and flatten each out, leaving at least 2-inches between each cookie.
Bake cookies until edges turn golden, about 8 to 12 minutes. Let cookies stand on cookie sheets for 2 minutes before removing to a cooling rack. Yields 2 cookies per serving.
(my friend made these at Christmas and they are SO SO yum! totally worth 2 pts!)

RPattz, Haiti, and Shredding Update

AAAAaaaaaaCHOOOOOooo! I'm glad I can't pass germs through the computer. I have been not feeling too good the last few days. It has really put a kink in my exercising/shredding. I did shred on Monday and Wednesday, but on Wednesday I felt like I was going to pass out...it was difficult getting enough oxygen with my nose all stuffed up. I did lose 1 pound at Weight Watchers on Wednesday. Not what I was hoping for (after 9 days of shredding), but it was better than the alternative. I'm hoping some rest this weekend will get rid of this junk so I can resume my regularly scheduled programming. I HATE being sick. How is everyone else feeling?

Well, this made me feel a little better this morning...I found this new pic of Rob that was taken today. What is it with these celeb guys and their beards? I must admit that he still looks WAY HOTT!

RPattz will be hosting the London leg of the Haiti Telethon tonight (on most channels, go to mtv.com for complete list of channels...click HERE to donate online). Every little bit helps.

Praying for Haiti

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Shredding Update and Twilight junk...because I can't help myself

I finished Day 9 of The Shred this morning...not because I wanted to. It has been quite the effort to JUST DO IT the last couple of days. Although, my endurance and stamina are up. I am able to do the entire workout without stopping. I'm SCARED to go to Level 2 on Thursday. I played around with it over the weekend and those plank exercises are freakin' ridiculous! I don't know what will happen. I may just stick to level 1 for another week. I did move up to 5 pounds hand weights. I can definitely feel the burn. It feels good. Even though it has been a struggle to get myself motivated to do the workout, by the time I am in the second circuit of strength training, the endorphins kick in and I'm good to go. I can finish strong. So, that is a plus. I'm hoping for some good results when I weigh in at WW tomorrow. *fingers crossed*

Here is something that I found online this morning and it makes me laugh...

OH and I am LOVING Anna Kendrick. She seriously has some of the funniest lines from New Moon and I love her more and more with each interview. I'm definitely going to see her other movies. Anybody watched Up In The Air yet?

Guilliana is hilarious with her Clooney obsession.

I was just reading some not-so-breaking news about Breaking Dawn. It was just more of the same questions...will BD be one or two movies?...when will filming start?...who will play Renesmee?...will she be real or CGI? No one seems to have answers to any of these questions just yet and Summitt has not released anything official about BD...so, we're left hanging and wondering...and hoping. One good thing, is that there will be a Breaking Dawn movie and there is a possibility for that movie to be in 2 parts...WOOHOO! I would be completely happy with either one really long...Lord Of The Rings LONG...movie...or two normal length films. You know me and my party planning, so of course I would love the chance to have ONE more movie...because that just means ONE more party! Either way, I can't wait!

Another thing that I CAN'T WAIT for is the trailer for Eclipse...WHAT is taking those people so long?!! It's driving me crazy! We got to see the NM trailer almost 6 months before the movie premiered. We're already down to 161 days until Eclipse, that is just a little over 5 months. So, what are they waiting for? Geez! Help a girl (and her obsession) out a little. Release the trailer already!

Some of you have asked me exactly what IS a TwiCon. So, I'll tell you in my next blog post. I'll link it up to the main site and give you a list of cities where they are hosted. Plus, I'll show you some of the fun stuff that I've found on line from other people's experiences at TwiCon...which makes me so stinkin' excited!!!

I saw New Moon for the fifth time over the weekend. I'm patiently waiting on it to come out at the dollar theater. I'm planning on having a New Moon marathon.

How many times have you seen New Moon? Also, have you ever been to a fan-based convention? Have I officially reached nerd status?

Do You Shred?

I've been shredding for exactly 1 week! I actually just finished my 8th day of shredding! I know that doesn't sound like that big of an accomplishment, but for me it is HUGE!

I'm the world's worst at sticking to exercise plans.

If you don't know what shredding is, it is a workout DVD hosted by none other than Biggest Loser's Jillian Michaels...and IT.IS.HARD! It is the hardest workout I've ever done.
The keys to my success this last week are ACCOUNTABILITY (there are lots of bloggers who shred), Jillian's militant attitude that forces you to finish, my goals that I've set and want so badly to reach, and the progress...the progress comes relatively quickly! In the first 3 days, I could tell a difference in stamina and endurance.

On day 4, I could feel a difference in my abs while I was doing the crunches...it's like I could actually feel ab muscles down under all the fat screaming to get out...and I liked it! Days 5, 6, and 7 are when you can start to really tell a difference in your capability to do each little step and not miss a beat...and finish with style. I could feel myself jumping higher, squatting lower, and pushing harder than I had before. Believe or not, but after only 7 days of working out, I can already tell a difference in my pants! I took a before picture, but I don't want to show it to you guys until the end of the 30 days. I want to really be able to tell a difference. One of my major goals right now is to be 2 sizes smaller by the time I go to TwiCon in March...and right now I'm feeling like it is possible!

Here is a list of fellow bloggers who also shred and have blogged about it:
Kenz
Amber
Rhonda

Go visit them and see their progress! Accountability has helped me so much in this last week! Let's do this together! Do you shred?
