A Thankful Heart

I am so thankful for God.
I am so thankful for Michael.
I am so thankful for Isaiah.
I am so thankful for my mom and dad.
I am so thankful for my granny.
I am so thankful for the time I was able to spend with my grandpa before he passed away. 
I am thankful that he lives on in our hearts and we will meet again. 
I am thankful for the legacy he left behind.
I am thankful for my aunts, uncles, and cousins.
I am thankful for all of my wonderful friends (that includes you).
I am thankful for my church and church family.
I am thankful for my freedom and the men and women who fight to keep it.
I am thankful for the simple things in life that make me happy.
I am thankful for my home.
I am thankful for family traditions.
I am thankful for all of the delicious food we are eating today!

Thursday Thankfuls

This week I have been oh-so-thankful for...
  • Michael's new job.
  • REAL fall weather so that I can wear my comfy sweaters, boots and jeans.
  • Pumpkin Spice lattes from Starbucks.  I've been enjoying them while I can!  It's all about the Peppermint Mochas after Thanksgiving.
  • The magical feeling I start to get around this time of year...the HOLIDAYS are upon us!
  • New friends
  • Old friends
  • Bloggy friends
  • New experiences and adventures.
  • Hilarious pictures from the weekend.  I laugh each time I look through them. 


Dear Lord,

Please do not let Kristen come to my blog.  She's never been before, so don't let her start now.  Also, please don't let anyone who knows and/or is related to Kristen read this blog, because they would tell on me.  If she does happen to read this, please help her to understand that it was for entertainment purposes only.  Amen.

Friend Makin' Monday & A Thankful Heart...all wrapped into one!

I NEVER do this.  EVER.  I'm posting twice today.  This just doesn't happen on Jenny Kate's Spot.  So, mark this day down.  I already linked up to McLinky Monday over at The RHOK with my favorite Thanksgiving food and recipe. Then, I read the message from Becca on Facebook saying that she was hosting FMMs and wanted everyone to post and stop by and link up...I always try to help out my bloggy friends when I can.  Besides, I love FMMs and miss them when I don't participate.  It's how I've met some incredible blogging friends!  I tried to think of a creative way to combine McLinky Monday, FMM, AND 25 Days of Thankful (with Shawn)...but I just couldn't do it.

Becca asked us to list what we are specifically thankful for in 2010...our Top 10 of 2010, which falls right into Shawn's 25 Days of Thankful!

Here's my Top 10 of 2010...

One - My family.  I love them so much.  Anytime I have a bad day or things are going rough, I remember that I have them to come home to and all is right with the world.

Two - Fun times.  I love to have fun.  Life is too short to be boring.  So, I'm thankful for all of the fun I've had in 2010.  

Three - House Addition. I'll post an update this week!  Pinkie promise.

Four - Twilight.  I know this sounds crazy and a little far-fetched for some of you, but it has brought a lot of great things/people/experiences into my life.

Five - My extended family.  I'm the oldest of 15 grand kids and I am so close to my cousins, aunts, and uncles.  I don't know what I would do without them.


Six - My friends.  I love them so much.  They mean the world to me.  They talk me down from "ledges", tell me it's OK to have chocolate when the world has me down, support my addictions, and keep me sane.  

Seven - Reading!  I love my books and I'm especially thankful for the ones that change my life, make me think, and give me a different perspective.

Eight - Blogging.  What would I do without all of my friends who live in my computer?!

Nine - Coffee. You knew this would have to make the list, right? I've gotta have my Starbucks!

Ten - My church.  I'm over the children's department at church and I love it...love me kiddos and my church family.

Friday Confessions & A Thankful Heart -- Day 2

First things first, something I'm thankful for.

Yesterday, in my comments, Shawn reminded me just how good I've got it here where I work.  Today, I am thankful for my great job.  I really do have it good.  I have a kitchen I can "whip up" something in anytime I want.  A boss who allows me to bring Isaiah to work with me any time I need or want to, like today.  He's been sick the past couple of days.  He's on the mend, but not well enough to go back to school.  So, he's spending the day with me.  
I'm oh-so-thankful.
(This is the point in my blog post where I would LOVE to be able to insert Shawn's adorable link/picture to her 25 Days of Thankful, but Blogger is being a butthead and will NOT let me.  I'm *this close* to throwing my monitor out of the window.  I'm counting to 10...backwards...10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.  OK, better.  So, you should totes go over to Shawn's blog and read more thankfuls and link up with your own!)




I also thought I would squeeze in a few Friday Confessions, since I missed out on posting them last Friday.  Speaking of last Friday, what a day...what a week last week was.  Amongst all my CRAZY BUSYness, I managed to get a flat tire on Thursday, almost run out of gas, AND lock my keys in my car the morning of the 1st grade Field Trip.  I was like the Bad News Bears...team of 1.


Here's a few more confessions, courtesy of my iPhone:

    I eat LOTS of croutons.  I love them.  They're my favorite snack. Good to the last crumb.

    When it comes to all things Twilight, I can't help myself.  I not only buy it, I buy it in mass quantities.  

    I voted, so did Edward.  Did you?!

    I did not mean for this to turn into a "oh-look-at-what-a-Twi-nerd-I-am" post, but seems as though we're going there.  So, while we're making a stop in Twitardia, I might as well mention that next week I'll be in Dallas at the Twilight Convention.  WHUT?! WHUT?!

    A Thankful Heart -- Day 1

    "No matter what happens, always be thankful..." (1 Th. 5:18)

    Over the next month, as often as possible, I'm going to be posting things I'm thankful for.  

    I'm thankful for so many things.  I feel very blessed.  

    Sometimes my "thankfuls" might be "profound" and other times they may be silly or things that are only important to me.

    Today, I'm thankful for the ability to go into the kitchen and just "whip something up", as my Granny would say.  

    I have her to thank for this ability.  


    For lunch today, I went into our kitchen here at the office and made myself some chicken and dumplings...my Granny's easy recipe.  

    After a conversation with a co-worker, it dawned on me that not everyone can just go into the kitchen and make something.  My ability to cook definitely comes from my Granny.  She is a wonderful cook.  I hope that one day I am even half as good as she is.

    So, a big shout-out to my Granny (even though she doesn't read my blog...she doesn't even know what blogging is) for letting me hang out in her kitchen and watch her every move...and ask a million questions.

    Thank you, Granny!  I LOVE you!

    Thursday Thankfuls





    I haven't been on the blog much this week.  
    Real life is not so happy  
    and I usually keep this my happy place.  
    I'm a cups-half-full-silver-lining-somewhere-over-the-rainbow 
    kind of girl.  
    That's how I roll.
    So, I don't do sad very well.

    I'm here today to count my blessings 
    and remember the things I'm most thankful for.


    • Today, I am most thankful for today.  We don't have every day promised to us, so I'll just be thankful for the day I've been given.
    • I'm also very thankful for knowing Jesus.  He's been my real peace this past week...the peace that passes all understanding.
    • I'm thankful for family and spending time with them even though it's under sad circumstances.
    • I'm thankful for the 3 years we've had with my Grandpa since his stroke.  The Lord knew that we needed a long time to say "goodbye".  If he had just suddenly passed that day in June 2007, we would have all been crushed, devastated.  To me, my Grandpa was someone I thought would be around forever.  He has always been a constant in my life.  He's someone I've always depended on and trusted in.  The Lord knew that we needed time.  He's good like that.  I've written about my grandpa from time to time on the blog, so I thought you all should know that he's very sick.  They've "called in the family".  We know his days on this earth are short.  Please pray for peace for my Grandpa and for my Granny.

      Thursday Thankfuls


      Hey, guys.  It's me.  Jenny Kate.  Remember me?  I have been in the world's worst blogging slump.  You know that movie "How Stella Got Her Groove Back"?  Well, I need to be Angela Bassett...I so gotta get my groove back.  

      One of the best ways I know to get my "groove" back is it write down things I'm thankful for and get a fresh perspective.

      It's been a while since I've done a Thursday Thankfuls, so I thought I would take inventory and be grateful.

      Counting your blessings is good for the soul.

      I'm thankful for family time.
      I'm thankful for summer days and more time to spend with my sugar bear.
      I'm thankful for exciting events that give me something to look forward to!
      (19 days!!  I'll be sharing my party planning soon!)
      I'm thankful for Mocha Light Frappucinos from Starbucks! 150 calories for a grande!  16 oz of pure heaven!
      I'm thankful for adventures.
      I'm thankful for the chance to raise money for a worthy cause like Relay For Life.  (P.S.  There is always a donate button at the bottom of my blog.)
      This is a little hint to the theme of our campsite for Relay For Life 2010!  It's tomorrow!  Our team raised $5201.50!  I'll have pics to share next week!

      Thanksgiving Thankfuls!!

      Today on this Thanksgiving Day, I am oh so thankful for all the blessings in my life. The most obvious ones are
      • God
      • Jesus, my Savior
      • my amazing close-knit family
      • Michael
      • Isaiah
      • my cousins who have been like sisters and brothers to me through the years
      • my brother Josh and niece Gracie living in Oklahoma
      • the best friends a girl could ask for
      • old friends
      • new friends
      • friends who live in my computer...ALL of you...I'm so thankful for each and every one of you
      • my church family
      • knowing what is important in life
      • a home
      • a job
      • that my Grandpa is here to spend another Thanksgiving
      • my Granny's pies
      • plenty of food
      • resources to help others
      • Christmas is around the corner
      • coffee
      • Black Friday shopping (it's like a holiday all in itself!)
      • New Moon...I'm serious y'all...I love that movie
      • Eclipse will be here in 216 days
      • party planning because it makes me so happy

      • my new cranberries and spice candle that makes my house smell like the holidays

      I'm sure I'm missing something. I'm pretty much thankful for everything around me...it's hard to list everything...well, I guess I could just say I'm thankful for EVERYTHING! That's what Isaiah put on our Blessings Tree in our Sunday School room...if a 5 year old can do that, then so can I. I'm thankful for EVERYTHING! How about you? What are you thankful for?

      Thursday Thankfuls


      I can't believe that it is already November and the holidays are upon us! I don't know where this year has gone...time goes by so fast these days. I wish there was a pause button. I do love this time of year though and I love having the opportunity at Thanksgiving to really reflect and think about things I'm thankful for. I was telling Isaiah the other morning that it's almost time for Thanksgiving and he says "what's Thanksgiving?" I told him that "it is a time of year that we count our blessings and remember the things we're thankful for". He said that he was thankful for the "beautiful fall leaves", and "his family", and "the Upside Down Show", and "sausage and cheese breakfast sandwiches"...and then he just went off into silly talk and being thankful for just about everything that was in the car and things we were passing as we were driving to school. I was thinking about it after I dropped him off and it made my heart happy, because we should all be thankful for everything we have...whether it's big or small...we should be thankful. I love that he can see the big picture. I'm trying to see the big picture and be thankful for everything from my family to the granola bar I had for breakfast.
      Today I am thankful for...
      • My Family - each and every one of them (even the ones I get ticked off at)
      • My House - even though it is WAY too small, it's mine and I love it.
      • The ability and resources to help people - even in small ways
      • My Family's health
      • The hot cup of coffee I'm drinking as I type this...and the cute mug that it is in, the one that makes me think of the sweet friend that gave it to me...just one more thing to be thankful for.
      • the beautiful fall leaves on the tree right outside my office window.
      • New Moon (and my PAR-TAY) will be here in 14 days, 13 hours, and 45 minutes...but who's counting?! =)
      • All of YOU! I'm so thankful for blogging. I've met so many wonderful friends. Some of you are now friend IRL and e-mail buddies. I love you guys! Just to think, without this blog, I would have never met any of you!

      Thursday Thankfuls and an Easy Peasy Greek Pasta Recipe

      You have no idea how THANKFUL I am that it's Thursday! It has been quite the week. I've kind of been in a funk this week. It's not been all puppy dogs and rainbows. Monday was definitely a Monday...in every since of the word. I got in trouble like all day at work. If it was wrong, it was my fault. Isaiah had a soccer game on Monday evening that I knew nothing about. It was supposed to just be practice. We were late and he had no uniform on...it was embarrassing. Speaking of late, Isaiah was late to school on Tuesday. Then he was almost late again on Wednesday. Yesterday was Weight Watchers and I gained 1.6 pounds...exactly what I had lost the last time I weighed in two weeks ago. I looked back in my log and I haven't lost a single ounce since August 19! I'm at exactly the same weight (down to the tenth of a pound) I was in August...two months with no weight loss. It is so frustrating. Even though I've been in this funk, it's still important to list my "thankfuls"...actually more important.

      Today I am thankful for...
      • My kiddos I teach at church. They really boost my spirits. We've been getting ready for our Harvest Festival at church and last night we made posters to decorate the church. Our theme this year is Superheroes...I can't wait!
      • Party planning for New Moon. I LOVE party planning and I LOVE Twilight/New Moon, so planning this party has been the most fun! I'll start posting some pics of the things I've bought so far and let you guys know what I have planned.
      • Party in the USA! "Noddin' my head like yeah...movin my hips like yeah..." You guys know this song, right? The new Miley Cyrus song. If you haven't heard it, you must. I play it in my car or in my office at least 5 times a day.
      • Edward and Jacob in my office. No matter how bad the day is, when I look behind my door and see those FSE and FSJ, I have no choice but to smile. :)
      • The days of sunshine we've had. I was in desperate need of some natural vitamin d! It's raining and yucky again today, but maybe the sun will come out tomorrow..."when I think of day that's gray and lonely. I just stick up my chin and grin and sayyyyyyy...oooooooooo...the sun will come out tomorrow. Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow, they'll be sun..." Ok, enough of me serenading you guys. :)
      Now for my easy peasy (made up) Greek Pasta recipe.

      I was so craving some Greek Pasta like you would get at Zio's or the version they used to serve at Olive Garden, so Monday night I made up my own version. It was so good. I'd like to share.

      Jenny's Easy Peasy Greek Pasta
      1. Tyson Grilled Chicken Strips (in the freezer section...the whole bag)
      2. 1 can of Rotel (drained)
      3. 1/2 jar Kalmata olives (or the whole jar, if you like them as much as me)
      4. 1/4 cup chopped shallots (or onions would work)
      5. 2 Tabelspoons olive oil
      6. dash of parsley
      7. a little of the liquid (about 1/4 cup) out of the Kalmata Olive jar (if you don't use this then you'll need some liquid like chicken broth or something)
      8. Whole Wheat Penne Pasta (I cooked the whole box, but only used about 2/3)
      9. feta cheese
      Start by putting your pasta on to boil. In a skillet, throw in your chicken and drizzle with the 2 T olive oil, Rotel, olives, olive juice (or chicken broth), shallots, and parsley. Let that just simmer and cook. Drain pasta. Toss with chicken mixture. Sprinkle feta cheese on top. Serve. Enjoy! It's delish and tastes pretty close to what I've had in restaurants. Oh, and it's healthy too!! I'm guessing the points to be 9 points (for 1 cup of pasta and 3 oz of the chicken mixture w/ 2 T crumbled feta cheese...plenty for dinner)! Pair with a salad dressed w/ balsalmic vinegar and olive oil. Yumm-O!

      I'm thankful for...

      • God. He's so good.
      • this hot cup of coffee I'm drinking, even though it is of the office-break-room-variety. It is serving it's purpose.
      • yesterday...getting to go to the zoo with Isaiah. It was so much fun. Lots of good "rememberies", as Isaiah would say.
      • our weather forecast for tomorrow. Partly sunny with the temps rising into the mid 60's...nice.
      • inside jokes.
      • people who remember that SHOWING you how they feel is much better than just TELLING you how they feel.

      Remember to show someone how you feel today...LOVE is a verb.

      It's Thursday and I'm thankful for...




      • Peanut Butter. I love it.


      • These way cute rain boots I'm wearing today.


      • When I see "Michelle.Torres" pop up in my e-mail inbox. I love her.


      • My friend and fellow blogger Lemon Annie. She's super awesome, and I'm not just saying that because we're so similar. ;) She's a kindred spirit. Her son was just diagnosed with Type 1 juvenile diabetes. If you have a moment, hope on over to her blog (click on her name) and read her post and leave her some comment love. She's very passionate about finding a cure and I'm right there with her, so I'm sure I'll be posting some more things regarding her blog and raising awareness for diabetes.


      • Divine appointment. I just believe that we are all where were are supposed to be when we are supposed to be there. For instance, this morning I believe that it was by divine appointment that I did not arrive to work until 9:00...some may say that I was late, but I choose to believe that I was supposed to arrive at work at 9:00...if my boss asks for an excuse, I'm just going to tell her to take it up with THE big guy.


      • My way cute bag that my darling hubby bought me for my birthday...with NO assistance, well I'm sure he received assistance from the nice sales lady at Coach...I should send her a 'thank you'. I LOVE it! By the way, he seems to think that "dh" could be code for "dumb husband" or some other derogatory term...where would he get an idea like that?

      On this day in 1977...

      I was born. I know, not very exciting. Just think, if it wasn't for that day 32 years ago, you wouldn't have me around to annoy you will all of my Twilight crazy talk and unending Starbucks chatter. On my birthday, I would like to take a moment to show some gratitude and do some Thursday Thankfuls...
      • I'm thankful for life and that I know Jesus. I'm thankful that God is my final word and authority. He loves me and keeps me.
      • I'm thankful for my husband, my funny little boy, and my amazing family. I seriously was born into the best family (in my book).
      • I'm thankful for this conversation I had with Isaiah last week...Isaiah said "mom, I'm glad that you "borned" me". I said "me too, bubby, I love you so much". He said "mom, you didn't even know what I was going to look like, did you?" I said "no, but I knew God would give me just what I needed and it was you." He said "I'm pretty cute, huh?" (He doesn't lack confidence.)
      • I'm thankful for my friends. I've got old friends, new friends, best friends, bloggy friends, e-mail buddies, Twilight friends, Facebook friends...I just couldn't be more blessed. I'm eternally grateful for all of you. You make my days brighter. I love you all.
      • I'm not thankful that I have to take Isaiah to get a root canal...or for the fact that he's told me that "HE'S HUNGRY" about 20 times in the 20 minutes he's been awake. (He can't eat before the root canal, mandatory from the dentist...he threw up all over the place last time.) HOWEVER, I am thankful that I get to spend the morning with my Sugar Bear. I'm praying for peace and calmness and no discomfort at the dentist today for Isaiah (and me).
      • I'm thankful for the Starbucks I will be partaking of in a few hours. I'm trying to not eat anything or drink anything either, since Isaiah can't. Have you tried their new VIA? It's an "instant" coffee, but that term does not do it justice. It can mix into anything...hot or cold...water, milk...ice cream...it's amazing! I think I'll take some with me to have while I'm patiently waiting.

      Thursday Thankfuls

      On this Thursday, I am thankful for:
      • the cooler temps...I LOVE fall weather!
      • the new tattoo I'm getting TONIGHT...I love getting inked!
      • my husband...for letting me get whatever tattoo I want w/out any stinky comments, because he WANTs me to be happy and whatever makes me happy makes him happy...right, babe?! ;) (Just say "yes" Michael.)
      • these smaller jeans that I could fit into this morning...even though I did gain .2 at WW yesterday. Just goes to show you that the scale doesn't tell the whole story!
      • my Isaiah...he's such a funny boy and he always has interesting and entertaining things to tell me. I think I'll let him vlog on my blog.
      • the simple ways that God reminds me that He's in control...NOT ME...OK, I'm listening.

      Thursday Thankfuls

      I haven't done a Thursday Thankfuls post in a few weeks, so I am way overdue.

      I read a great quote this week that said, "Gratefulness is the key to a happy life that we hold in our hands, because if we are not grateful, then no matter how much we have we will not be happy -- because we will always want to have something else or something more." - Brother David Steindl-Rast

      I, for one, want to be both grateful and happy.

      Here's a few things I'm thankful for:
      • I'm thankful for God and His amazing love for me (and you).
      • I'm thankful for the real meaning of Easter.
      • I'm thankful for my husband. He works hard and doesn't always get appreciated for it. Love you, babe. (He's a lurker on my blog and likes to bring it to my attention that I "hardly EVER talk about him".)
      • I'm thankful for Melissa coming back to the land of blogging! ☺ I missed you!
      • I'm thankful for tomorrow being Friday! April 15th and the days around it are not a fun time in an accounting department. Thank you Lord for bringing us through another tax season. It was a little touch and go there for a while, but we made it!
      • I'm also thankful for my Starbucks Gold Card and for the good people at the Starbucks Gold Lab for feeling generous and bestowing upon me 5 extra dollars which was loaded to my Gold Card for me to use at my earliest convenience...which will be today. (Was that a run-on sentence? If so, I apologize.) I'm sure this show of appreciation has nothing to do with the amount of times I frequent their establishment(s).
      • One last token of gratitude, I am thankful for a couple of good friends who have so graciously agreed to have a Twilight "gathering" with me, which includes, but is not limited to playing the Twilight board game and talking about all things Twilight. I was in desperate need of a Twilight "outlet". I have a couple things to show you...come back tomorrow for some Friday Confessions.

      Thursday Thankfuls


      • First and foremost, I am sooooo thankful for this GORGEOUS weather we have been having! About this time last week it was snowing! Crazy, right? Well, this week it's been in the 70's and 80's! Glorious!
      • I'm thankful that tomorrow is Friday! Isaiah is on Spring Break this week and tomorrow I'm bringing him to work with me and we are leaving at noon to go to the zoo! I ♥ the zoo.
      • I am very thankful for the longer days. I drive about 35 minutes to work. So, during the winter, most days I get home after dark. When the time finally "springs forward", it really adds a lot to my day. We have time and daylight to get outside and do something. Fantastic!
      • I'm thankful that tomorrow is the first day of Spring!
      • Any of you who know me too well know that I have to mention this...I'm THANKFUL that Twilight is out on DVD @ 12:01 AM Saturday!!! WOOHOO!! (You'll be able to find me at my local Wal-Mart...and I've already pre-ordered the download for my iphone.)

      Ok, who let it get Thursday? Thursday Thankfuls (w/ NKOTB pics!☺)


      Seriously, people! It's Thursday??! I feel like this week has just flown by! I had all good intentions of being on my best blogging behavior this week, but unfortunately my blogging badness has carried over into another week! It's horrible. When will the madness stop? I had some crafty things I wanted to share this week, a recipe...and above all else, I wanted to be a good commenter and get around and read everyone's blogs! I've been so missing out on staying on top of my blog reading! When I finally get a chance to get on here and catch up, I feel like I'm a million days behind...ok, that's an exageration...a hundred...well, 10 at least! It's a little overwhelming when you log on and realize that you've missed about 40-50 blog posts! Where's my assistant?!

      A few "thankfuls"...
      1. God's goodness. I've really had to rely on my faith the last couple of weeks. Trying to feel better and get all the cooties outta here!
      2. Good coffee. Truly there have been a few days these past couple of weeks if it hadn't been for coffee, I would have walked around like a zombie.
      3. Good friends. I'm always thankful for my friends, but I'm just especially thankful for them this week. You just can't put a price on good friends. They lift us up when were feeling down.         One little crafty tid-bit I'd like to share...


        My cousin, Traci @ Living The Good Life, had me make a "happy birthday" banner for her daughters birthday. I had never made one THAT long before, but it was so much fun making it!!! I wanted to post pics while I was doing it, or at least a pic of the final product, but was SO BUSY that I failed to do so. However, this morning Traci posted it on her blog! Yippee!! So, I stole a few photos...I'm sure she won't mind....we ARE family after all.

      Oh, did I tell you I was going to the NKOTB...New Kids On The Block...Concert? Well, I did and it was A-mazing! I'm not even kidding...it was the MOST fun I've had in a long time. For four hours I was 12 again. Although I am a happily married 31 YEAR OLD mom, I still felt like Joey and I might have a chance...I kid...no really. Me and my cousin, Renee @ My Glimpse Of Life (I know LOTS of cousins), went together. I took her for her birthday. Here are a few snip-its from the concert...don't be jealous ;)

      Thursday Thankfuls *updated*


      • I'm thankful for Melissa and what a wonderful friend she is. Her sister Michelle wrote a very touching blog about her today. To read it go HERE. (If you have a moment, go over and show Melissa some love on her blog.)
      • I'm thankful that the ice is finally starting to melt.
      • I'm thankful I got to stay at home with Isaiah on Tuesday!
      • I'm thankful that Michael finally made it home last night after being stuck out on the road for 3 days!
      • I'm thankful that my mom loves me enough that she came and got me this morning so I didn't have to un-thaw my car...thanks, Mom!
      • I'm thankful for the sunshine and warmer days ahead.
      • I'm thankful for this nice warm cup of coffee I'm sipping while sitting at my desk.
      • I'm thankful for the Internet...I know this sounds trivial, but I was just sitting here prior to writing these thankfuls and thinking about all the great things I can do from my computer...connect with friends, send a quick note via e-mail, read some FABULOUS blogs, send a friend some flowers, log my food for the day on SparkPeople, pay some bills, check the bank account...oh, and work OF COURSE...it's endless!

      Thursday Thankfuls

      I haven't done a Thursday Thankfuls since December. Originally I had started doing them during November for Thanksgiving, but we should be thankful at all times, right? Here are just a few of the things I'm thankful for today:


      1. my faith
      2. my family
      3. friends
      4. especially friends who hold you accountable and help you be a better YOU
      5. good books
      6. fun television shows
      7. crazy people who can't sing, but go on national television so the whole world gets to find out...love these people( i ♥ idol)

      Thursday Thankfuls

      My last Thursday Thankfuls of November. You know when I started these I was planning on just doing them through November...'til Thanksgiving, but I just love them so much that I'll probably continue doing them...for a while at least. We'll see. So, here are my last Thursday Thankfuls of November:

      1. On this Thanksgiving Day, I am thankful for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. For having the hope of a better tomorrow and the peace of knowing I'm in his hands. Like I say in my bio, He is always so full of grace and mercy. I totally don't deserve it at times, but I'm so THANKFUL that He gives it anyway.
      2. On this Thanksgiving Day, I am thankful for my family. They love me in spite of myself and I'm sooooo THANKFUL for that! They are the reason I am who I am.
      3. On this Thanksgiving Day, I am thankful for my friends. They mean so much to me. They're there for me when I need them the most. They listen to all my crazy ramblings. They love me for me. I couldn't ask for more.
      4. On this Thanksgiving Day, I am thankful for the yummy Thankgiving dinner I'm about to eat...and for all of the extended family that will be surrounding me...and for those that couldn't be here.
      5. On this Thanksgiving Day, I am thankful for Black Friday...yeah, I know pretty pathetic...but I'm thankful for the girl time I'm going to have tomorrow, the laughs, the sales, the good buys, the start to the Christmas season, Peppermint Mochas, more laughs, good times, a movie, breakfast/lunch/and dinner out, mom and me time, time with friends, more sales, more good buys, a car full of goodies, and then finally getting back home in the wee hours of Saturday :)
      6. On this Thanksgiving Day, I am thankful for the fact that I get to start putting up my tree and all the Christmas decor and legally listen to Christmas music!!!
