Friday Confessional

Photobucket

I'm linking up with Mamarazzi today for Friday Confessional. It's been a while, so I figured I should repent...I mean, confess a few things, so I can go be bad some more this weekend...I mean, so I can feel better about myself going into the weekend.

Mama told me linking up regularly to Friday Confessionals is a free pass into heaven.

You wanna know the real-honest-to-goodness-no-lying reason I'm blogging today?

Connie made me do it.

I confess, if you ever want to get me to do anything, just threaten to take me off your A List or talk mean to me.  It works like a charm.

I confess that Impulsive Addict and I were...well, I don't want to go into details, so just watch the vlog...

I confess that I proposed to Joey at the NKOTBSB concert.  If you're up for another video, you should watch this because it's full of epicness...Joey Mc upclose and personal, me and IA fangirling over him, my proposal, and my declaration of love.  It's good stuff.

My husband told me that I should take the video off of Facebook because it's "ridiculous and embarrassing".  I told him he knew what he was getting into when he married me...we should have worked "I promise to love you even when you're ridiculous and embarrassing" into our vows.

I have TONS more to confess, but this is getting lengthy, so I'll save it for another day.  Happy Friday!♥

Friday Confessions

I haven't written a Friday Confessions post in TWO Fridays. I know. This could be embarrassing. Confessions in small doses don't make me sound so crazy (and in need of professional help). Confessions in large doses make all of you click over to a "new tab" and Google "psychologists and therapist for the mentally disturbed in Oklahoma". I

For those of you who don't know...I ♥ NKOTB...like love love love them. Not just the fab five from 1985, which I did LOVE them then too...but I mean I CURRENTLY LOVE NKOTB. I'm kind of a "groupie", if you will. My cousin, Renee, and I went to the concert here in Tulsa a few months back and we have tickets for the Full Service Tour in Dallas! WOOT! I follow all of them on Twitter and I often lay in bed at night and catch up with their tweets...it makes me feel close to them. :) LOL I tweet them back sometimes, but they never reply...I don't know why...but I know they read it (ok, so probably not b/c my tweet probably gets lost in a sea of a million tweets...but a girl can hope).
My friend Xazmin at This is the Year has been doing a countdown on her blog. She'll be seeing the boys in concert in Vegas just a few days before I will see them in Dallas. As part of her countdown, she's been posting NKOTB (HOTT HOTT HOTTNESS) videos each Friday. I told her I would join in this Friday. She has a FABULOUS one posted today...you should go check it out! So, today as part of my Friday Confessions, I would like you to check out this...
I have a good confession, one that doesn't put me on the "crazy list"...I've lost 14 pounds since the beginning of March! YAY! I started back to Weight Watchers this week and I think I'm going to start doing a Weight Watchers blog on Wednesdays (you know because of the whole 'W' thing...i'm weird...plus, that's my weigh-in day). Anybody else do Weight Watchers?
Michael thinks that I hide his work shorts. He works for Fed-Ex (delivering the purple promise) and I'm sure most of you are familiar with the standard navy shorts w/ the navy and purple shirts. Apparently, he thinks that when I finish the laundry I have a secret stash for his work shorts...yeah, because that's what I do...I hide clean laundry...that's how I roll. Psshh! Whateve! (now, I may hide dirty laundry, but not clean laundry) This morning he said he could only find ONE pair of clean work shorts...and accused me of hiding the others. ALL of the laundry in our house is washed, dried, folded, and put away (not in secret stashes)...if it were not, I would tell you. This is Friday Confessions!
Hope everyone is having a FABULOUS Friday!! Enjoy your weekend!

Friday Confessions

It's kinda funny, but I actually think about Friday Confessions all week. If I slip up or do something "bad" or embarrassing...or just anything blog worthy...it always pops into my mind, "that'll be on Friday Confessions". When I have weeks with not much going on or when I've been extra "good", I start getting nervous..."what will I write on Friday Confessions". About Wednesday night, I was thinking, "man, there hasn't been anything really Friday Confession-ish to write about." I get a little bummed. I start thinking irrationally..."maybe I should you know...create a Friday Confession...no no too risky". It never fails though, I always manage to slip up. So, here's a few things I'd like to confess:

*Wednesday night I ate half a sleeve of Thin Mints. Note to self: Just because they have the word "thin" on the box, does not make them "diet".

*This is like a pre-confession. Tomorrow NKOTB tickets go on sale!!! Me and Renee...NKOTB...Dallas...July 17th! WOOHOO!! We've contemplated squeezing in the Houston concert as well. It's the very next night! Can we truly call ourselves Donnie and Joey's biggest fans if we don't at least try to go? I think not. My husband is going to read this and I'm going to get a text. He's not thrilled on the idea of us going to Dallas to a concert...WHAT? Um. Last time I checked me and Renee are 31 years old and perfectly capable of driving 4 hours to Dallas to a concert (and then another 5 to Houston, but it's not even a sure thing). I can't imagine what kind of trouble he would think WE could get into. Like we have any history of that. *rolling eyes* WHATEVER! (I know Michael, I didn't say anything about the Houston concert. I was waiting for you to calm down about the Dallas concert. THEN I was going to tell you. I figured Friday Confessions was a good place to break the news to you. Love you, babe! Oh, and just for the record, if you said you wanted to drive to Dallas to a concert, I would be TOTALLY cool with that. I'm just sayin'.)

*My next topic of conversation isn't really a "confession", it's more of a question...Is this overboard?

I didn't think so.

Happy Friday!!

Friday Confessions

Confession is good for the soul.

If you read my post from yesterday, then you know that I went to the NKOTB concert. I think that's pretty much a confession in itself. I love the comments everybody left..."a blast from the past!", "are you serious?", "they're still around?"and "who even knew they were still having concerts." YES, it was a blast from the past and it was A-mazing! YES, I'm totally serious and I would go again tonight if given the chance! YES, they're still around and doing a tour with a brand new album! YES, I screamed. YES, I sang every song as loud as I could. I may have even shed a tear. ☺ And YES, I felt 12 all over again and thought perhaps Joey and I still have a chance. ☺

I have taken quite a bit of flak for going to the concert and sporting the shirt the next day.

I don't know about you guys, but I am uber excited about next week's release of TWILIGHT!!! Woohoo!! I've heard there is a "Midnight Sun-ish" deleted scene on some of the DVDs that have "extras"! I've got to get my hands on that DVD! Oh how sweet it will be to have Edward at my fingertips. shhhh...don't tell anybody, but I have a copy of it already, (I know, right?) but it's JUST the movie, no extras...so, I'm still way excited for the release!

I haven't cooked dinner ALL week. Michael has been on vacay, so it's been laid back at our house this week...a lot of salads and sandwiches.

Do you have anything to confess this week? Go ahead...confess...you know me, I'm listening. ☺

Happy Friday!

Ok, who let it get Thursday? Thursday Thankfuls (w/ NKOTB pics!☺)

Seriously, people! It's Thursday??! I feel like this week has just flown by! I had all good intentions of being on my best blogging behavior this week, but unfortunately my blogging badness has carried over into another week! It's horrible. When will the madness stop? I had some crafty things I wanted to share this week, a recipe...and above all else, I wanted to be a good commenter and get around and read everyone's blogs! I've been so missing out on staying on top of my blog reading! When I finally get a chance to get on here and catch up, I feel like I'm a million days behind...ok, that's an exageration...a hundred...well, 10 at least! It's a little overwhelming when you log on and realize that you've missed about 40-50 blog posts! Where's my assistant?!

A few "thankfuls"...
  1. God's goodness. I've really had to rely on my faith the last couple of weeks. Trying to feel better and get all the cooties outta here!
  2. Good coffee. Truly there have been a few days these past couple of weeks if it hadn't been for coffee, I would have walked around like a zombie.
  3. Good friends. I'm always thankful for my friends, but I'm just especially thankful for them this week. You just can't put a price on good friends. They lift us up when were feeling down. They can make us feel young. They create good times and good memories. You know who you are...LOVE YOU GUYS!

One little crafty tid-bit I'd like to share...

My cousin, Traci @ Living The Good Life, had me make a "happy birthday" banner for her daughters birthday. I had never made one THAT long before, but it was so much fun making it!!! I wanted to post pics while I was doing it, or at least a pic of the final product, but was SO BUSY that I failed to do so. However, this morning Traci posted it on her blog! Yippee!! So, I stole a few photos...I'm sure she won't mind....we ARE family after all.

What do you guys think?

Oh, did I tell you I was going to the NKOTB...New Kids On The Block...Concert? Well, I did and it was A-mazing! I'm not even kidding...it was the MOST fun I've had in a long time. For four hours I was 12 again. Although I am a happily married 31 YEAR OLD mom, I still felt like Joey and I might have a chance...I kid...no really. Me and my cousin, Renee @ My Glimpse Of Life (I know LOTS of cousins), went together. I took her for her birthday. Here are a few snip-its from the concert...don't be jealous ;)

Hello, Jordan!

Up close with Danny and Jonathan!

"I LOVE YOU JOEY!!!" ☺

Me and Renee!
Awesome concert!

Check out this video! Can you say good seats?? WOOHOO!
For all of you who love Donnie! (Renee LOVES Donnie!)

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!
