Anybody Got a Swiffer? It's Dusty Up In Hur (Here).

*AHHHHHHHHHHH...Ahhhhh...CHOOOOOOOO*  Sorry, dust makes me sneeze.  Ok, and I'm possibly over-dramatic.

I have no idea what I'm doing here...maybe the peer pressure is getting to me, maybe I'm just feeling really rebellious today and feel like "sticking it to the man", maybe I stopped by and felt sad that I haven't been here in so long...IDK?

I've lost 3 followers in the last few months during my hiatus.  I TOTALLY don't blame them.  I mean, what the hellz are the other 359 of you doing still following my blog??  There is nothing to see here!

I decided to take a peak at my stats, because let's face it...none of us blog for "us".  That's such a lie to make ourselves feel better when no one comments on a post or no one stops by our blog.  Seriously, people.  You wouldn't keep talking incessantly if no one talked back to you or listened to anything you were saying.  But that's not the point I was making...I'm rambling. *ooooo, shiney penny* <---I have so many of those moments in a day. It's ridiculous.  So, back to what I was saying, I checked my stats, and to my complete and utter dismay, people have been here.  I haven't even been here.  It's kinda weird that even though I have abandoned my little space on the interwebs, other people still stop by.  It's nice.  Makes me think I should come back.  I mean, I do own this place.  It says so...right up there. *points to the top*

So, one of my old (and by that I mean the time we've know each other and not a reference to age) bloggy friends, Mimi @ Living in France, tagged me last week...hoping to bring me out of my Reclusive Blogger status.  I thought, "why not".

Here's dizzle ma nizzles:

  • You must post 11 random things about yourself. (I think I can manage this...everything about me is random.)
  • Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post.  (Not sure I have time for this...we'll see.)
  • Create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer.  (This isn't going to happen...deal.)
  • Go to their blog and tell them that you’ve tagged them.  (I can do this.)
  • Legitimately tag 11 people!! (Don't push your luck.)
11 Random Things About JK...hmmmm...
  1. I occasionally speak about myself in third person.
  2. I like to turn my hip-hop/rap music up so loud in my car that I feel the bass on my ass in my seat.
  3. I also perform every morning on my way to work.  You can catch me from 8:10 to 8:50 on HWY 51, but you'll have to break the law to keep up.  I drive like a Cullen.
  4. I'm an interactive TV watcher.  I like to talk to the people and yell at them...occasionally profanities.  What?  I'm a passionate person.  Drives M cray.
  5. I've discovered that while I'm restricting my calories (we don't mention the "d" word), I'm a bigger bitch than usual while Aunt Flo is visiting.
  6. I would have killed a mofo for some chocolate last week.
  7. I finally caved on day 3.
  8. Probably saved a few poor souls.
  9. I like to think of it as caving for the greater good.
  10. I know it was the right thing to do, because deep down, I didn't feel bad about it.
  11. I kinda just cheated, but whatevs.
Since I'm bloggin like a baws (boss) today, I might as well kill two birds with one stone and link up with my hookas Impulsive Addict and Seriously Shawn for their Talk to Us TuesdayNo rules, just fun!

Exposing The Truth (+Giveaway Winner)

Remember when I said this..."I'm just telling y'all right now. I'm a horrible liar. Ask Impulsive...or my husband. They'll tell you. I suck at lying. So, I'm going to give this my best shot."

Yeah, well.  Funny thing.  I sorta forgot to remove a lie, so there's 2. Apparently my "best shot" was not that great.

So, there are 2 lies and 4 truths...sorta.

Here's the dealio...
  1. I'm head-over-heels for a boy whose name rhymes with Schmob Schmattinson. My husband knows all about it and he's OK with it. Tru dat.  Now, I use the work "OK" loosely.  Michael basically tolerates my crazy.
  2. I LOVE tomatoes. I could eat them everyday. I especially love them when they've been picked right off the vine. I just slice them up, put a little salt on them, and dig in! LIE LIE LIE LIE LIE.  I HATE tomatoes.  I love everything a tomato makes (i.e. salsa, ketchup, marinara sauce, bruschetta, etc.).  I just hate raw tomatoes.  There like in a larvae state.  It's disgusting.
  3. My favorite music in this whole wide world is rap...preferably rap from the 80's and 90's. It's my jam.  True.  I love rap.  It makes me wanna dance.
  4. I'm an only child.  True.  Technically speaking.  I am my mother's only child.  I was raised an only child.  However, I do have 3 half-siblings and 2 step-siblings.
  5. I refuse to spend big money on purses, shoes, etc. I think it is a total waste of money.  Yeah, pretty much a lie.  I LOVE Coach purses...and shoes, and perfume, and scarves, and hats, and luggage...I love it all.
  6. One time, in Sunday School, to my mother's mortification, I said the word "bastard".  True.  I did that.
Take a little side trip with me...

I was about 5 years old.  It was summertime and I had spent the majority of the weekend fishing on the river with my grandpa.  When we were fishing, my Grandpa would reach his hand down into the minnow bucket and he would say "come 'er you little bastard".  To my 5 year old mind, this just made sense.  We fished with "little bastards".

So, This particular Sunday morning, my teacher was asking the class what they had been doing all summer.  When she got to me and I answered "fishing", she proceeded to ask for details.  Where had we been fishing?  Did I catch any fish?  What had we been fishing with (bait, that sort of thing)?  To which I answered "little bastards".  To which the class of 5 years olds started asking "what's little bastards???  Mrs. Sandy, what's little bastards???" I'm sure she regrets asking me for details to this day.
    ...and that's the truth.

    love and rockets,
    jennykate♥

    5 Truths and A Lie

Shawn at Seriously, Kelli at Outside My Kitchen Window...and someone else who is TOTALLY escaping my pea-sized brain right now...asked me to list 5 true things about myself and 1 lie.

I'm just telling y'all right now.  I'm a horrible liar.  Ask Impulsive...or my husband.  They'll tell you.  I suck at lying.  So, I'm going to give this my best shot.

The idea is that you will read through these and pick out the lie...tell me in the comments, and I'll reveal the truth in another post.  Sounds fun, right?

    Here we go...
    1. I'm head-over-heels for a boy whose name rhymes with Schmob Schmattinson.  My husband knows all about it and he's OK with it.
    2. I LOVE tomatoes.  I could eat them everyday.  I especially love them when they've been picked right off the vine.  I just slice them up, put a little salt on them, and dig in!
    3. My favorite music in this whole wide world is rap...preferably rap from the 80's and 90's.  It's my jam.
    4. I'm an only child.
    5. I refuse to spend big money on purses, shoes, etc. I think it is a total waste of money.
    6. One time, in Sunday School, to my mother's mortification, I said the word "bastard".
    What's the lie?  What's true?

    Tell me in the comments!

I'm supposed to tag 5 people, but I feel like everyone has been tagged already...so, if you haven't been tagged, please feel free to play along!!

    Versatile? Me?

A BIG thanks to Mommy Mayhem for passing on this little award to me!  I'm not sure how versatile of a blogger I am.  Random?  Yes.  Versatile?  I don't know about that.

    The req's:

    • Reveal 7 truths about yourself
    • Pass it on to 7 blogging friends
Let me see if I can tell you guys some things you don't already know.

    7 Truths

    1. I LOVE green beans.  I mean, LOVE them.
    2. I'm so impatient sometimes.  I really love instant gratification.
    3. I've been evaluating friendships lately.  Not that I don't want to be friends with anyone.  I just think some "friends" are better kept at a distance.  Know what I mean?  I find it hard to make that separation, but I'm trying.
    4. I can blush at the drop of a hat.  I'm sitting in the living room last night, watching DWTS, and Maks is on.  Y'all know Maks, right?!  All my husband does it look at me.  I mean just glanced my way and I turned all shades of red.  What is wrong with me?!
    5. On that note, I DO NOT have a poker face.  Lady Gaga was not talking about me.  You can totally read me just by seeing my facial expressions.
    6. I have a ridiculous fear of spiders.  Early Sunday morning as I was coming home from a Girl's Night Out, I was walking up to the front door, not really paying attention to anything, when all of a sudden I see a HUGE spider.  This is not one of my exaggerations, which I am known for.  It was real.  It was like a tarantula at my front door.  FREAKED. ME. OUT.  About that time the headlights on my car automatically turned off and I couldn't really see the eight-leg-spawn-of-satan any longer...because he was black and it was DARK.  So, I ran, I mean RAN, back to my car.  Jumped in.  Slammed the door.  Locked it.  I have no idea what for.  It's not like the spider was going to open the door or anything.  I turned on the light inside the car, you know to make sure there were no tarantulas in my car that I hadn't seen 15 seconds earlier when I was in my car.  I sat there and waited until my husband came and killed the massive-life-threatening-eight-leg-spawn-of-satan.  I would have slept in my car before I would have went past that spider to get in my house.
    7. I love Starbucks.  What?!  I couldn't think of anything else to say.
I know there have been tons of tagging and bloggy awards floating around, so I'm not going to tag anyone.  However, if anyone wants to snag this award and play along, feel free!  I think you are all wonderfully, versatile bloggers, and I would love to know more about each and every one of you!

    Hope you're all having a TERRIFIC Tuesday!♥

    8 Questions

Shawn from Seriously tagged me to answer the following 8 questions, tag 8 friends, and have them answer 8 new questions.

Thanks, Shawn!  This should be fun!

    1. If you could go to one place, all expenses paid, where would you go?

Europe, but I wouldn't want to be held down to a specific locale.  I would just like to be able to go where the wind takes me...or train.  I've always wanted to visit my foreign exchange student from high school.  She's from Alsace, France.

That would be a good start!

    2. Do you coupon? {I have friends that save a ton and I just can't figure it out} If you do what are your secrets?

I like coupons.  I like saving money.  But I'm not faithful to it.  I usually buy the paper and clip the coupons...and forget them when I go to the store.  I do love watching the 918 Coupon Queen on Channel 6 every morning.  Her savings fascinate me.

I have good intentions, but no follow through.

    3. If you had one thing to do over what would it be and why?

I would have traveled more before I got married and had Isaiah.  It's so much harder to do when you have responsibilities and a family to care for.  I wouldn't change anything about my life, but I definitely would have taken advantage of more opportunities.

    4. Are you an organized clean freak or a less than tidy "tomorrows another day, it can wait" kind of girl? What does your house look like right now?

OH my geez.  I wish she hadn't asked me this question.  The embarrassing truth is that at this very moment my house is a hot mess.  It's been a crazy month.  We went from vacation, to my Grandpa being really sick, to him passing and his funeral, to family galore, to back-to-school, and sports starting.  I have had ZERO time to clean and organize.  So, I'm usually a semi-organized-clean-freak-kinda-girl.  I say "semi", because I'm not nearly as clean freakish as I was prior to becoming a mom.  I realize now that it's OK for your house to appear lived in.  I prefer spotless and organized, but I'll accept pretty clean and picked-up.

No pics.  Sorry.  My house is only photographed when clean.

    5. Toilet paper...Over or Under ? And, are you compulsive enough to change it somewhere else {I am}?

Over.  It's the only way and yes, I'll switch it, if given the chance.

    6. You're talking to a group of people and someone has something in their teeth or their nose. Do you tell them, ignore it or excessively rub your tongue over your teeth or run your finger under your nose until they get the hint?

I'll politely and inconspicuously tell them.
    "You've got something right there..."
I would want them to do the same!

    7. You're out and about and you see a friends husband with another women. What do you do? Address him on the spot, call him the next day and give him an ultimatum or tell your friend?

Straight to the friend.  Especially if it's a close/best friend.  You better believe he's getting ratted out.  Again, I would expect the same in return.

    8. What is the best piece of advice you've ever gotten? What was it and who gave it to you?

"This too shall pass" ~ My Granny

    I tag:
    Mom Mayhem
    Dawn's Diversions
    Brainella
    Harried Mom of Four
    This Is The Year
    Sugarplum Creations
    Carrie's Little World
    6 Happy Hearts

    My Questions are:
    1. What are you most looking forward to about fall?
    2. What are some current things on your to-do list?
    3. Do you go to Starbucks?  If so, what's your favorite drink?
    4. What is your favorite book right now?
    5. What was your favorite movie from the summer?
    6. Do you take pictures?  If so, what kind of camera do you use (even if it is your camera on your phone)?  Show us your recent favorite pic!
    7. Who is your favorite celebrity?
    8. Why did you originally start your blog?

    Friend Makin' Monday

It's Monday! I'm feeling like it's a "manic Monday"! Seriously, I've experienced all the stupidness I can for one day! I've spilt coffee, ran late, my computer broke, waited 10 minutes while people "rubber-necked" looking at a small "finder-bender"...seriously people, move on...NOTHING TO SEE HERE! My husband has text me TEN times today regarding calling the pest control people because he thinks we might have termites. I'M AT WORK! I mean, I realize he is too, but geez! OK, sorry...no more ranting from me...only puppy dogs and rainbows from here on out.

Amber over at {aefilkins} hosts Friend Making Monday. If you've never joined in, you should! Don't you like making friends? Okay, then what are you waiting for?

Today's topic: Craigslist - what have you purchased? what's the best deal you've ever got? etc.

Ok, well, I'm not a huge Craigslist-er, but I'm surrounded by them! All of my co-workers are big time Craigslist people...and freecycle and ebay...and all those other .com places. Honestly, the only thing I've ever tried to sell on Craigslist was a pair of NKOTB tickets. They didn't sell. I had to put them on eBay. So, I guess until I really "hit the big one" and walk away with some amazing thing for next to nothing, I won't be a big Craigslist person. My co-workers have got some awesome stuff like...free oriental rug, free headboard and footboard for a queen bed, a NICE black real leather couch for $100! Amber has got some pretty sweet deals too, so go check them out and all the other FMM's at {aefilkins}.

    Now for a few awards...

Thank you, Macey for this Kreativ Blogger award! Man, it just totally makes my day when I get fun awards from fellow bloggers! Macey's blog, Living in France, it SUCH a fun blog. She is a HOOT! Always good for a laugh and a walk on the lighter side of life.

I'm supposed to tag 7 bloggers who I think are "kreativ"! That should be easy, right?, but it's hard to choose JUST 7!!!

    1. Tanielle - she's always up to something "kreativ" and crafty!
    2. Becca - I think she's so clever for having her kiddos collect a postcard from ALL 50 states this summer!
    3. Vivienne - The best, most humorous story-teller EVER!
    4. Rebeckah - This girl is the most talented photographer! She really knows how to capture the moment...she's also a beautiful person...on the inside and out!!
    5. Kelli - She has a Cricut...and I'm jealous. :) I love her posts, her blog is a breath of fresh air...always doing something crafty...stamping, paper crafts...you name it!
    6. Carrie - What a talented girl! She is so good at turning nothing into SOMETHING! She's crafty and so great and re-doing things and giving them life again! You've got to see her little boy's nursery!
    7. JenJen - I LOVE hostessing and Jennifer is an amazing hostess. The parties she throws are DIVINE! I have her Twilight party from last year bookmarked in my favorites. It's like my go-to guide for planning my New Moon party. :)

Thanks to Shawn@ Seriously for this bloggy award. Her blog is such a fun read. She tells very humorous stories about her girls and hubby. She has such wit and spunk. I just lover her. She said this blog award reminded her of Twilight...imagine that my blog came to mind. Hmmm. :P

Thanks for the award, Shawn! I love bloggy awards! I'm supposed to pass it on to 4 deserving bloggers. As far as I'm concerned, all the bloggers I follow are TOTALLY deserving. It's always so hard to pick just 4! However, I know that if I don't pick 4, then the award basically "dies off", so in hopes of keeping this nifty blog award going, I award this to:

    1. Michelle at Tickled Pink and Fabulous - she shares my deep love for Twilight (she's even been to FORKS!) and I really do think she is FABULOUS!!
    2. Connie @ The Young and The Relentless - holy moley, she is HILARIOUS! I love this girl. Her Vlogs are the best!
    3. Xazmin (pronounced HA-z-mean...in case you were wondering) @ This is the Year - she doesn't love Twilight, but she loves Angel and Spike from Buffy...and I love her! :) (ps I'm working on converting her over to the Twilight Side.)
    4. Shortmama @ Family of Shorts - she is great and she's keepin' it real! I love reading her blog. Plus, she has some good meme's (you know where write a post related to a topic, copy and past a cute little button and link up...that's a meme:)

Hope everyone is having a great Monday!!

    YeeHaw...ride 'em cowboy!

I've been tagged by Heather at Visions of Sugarplums! I'm pretty sure she has tagged me before and I have made one of the major Blogger faux pas by not following through with the tag and writing a post...nor did I re-tag. *gasp* I know. I'm horrible. *hanging my head in shame* I get so far behind on tags and awards until it feels like an overwhelming mountain of to-dos that is insurpassable(fyi, this probably is not a word, I might have just made it up). *warning: over dramatic blogger at work* She is a wonderful blogger. Her blog is always so fun and light. I love visiting her and seeing what she's been up to...oh, and she makes these fabulously wonderful hand-made garters and stuff. (Which means she's crafty...love that!) She tagged me for some random photo fun. Here's what I've been instructed to do:

~ Open my first photo folder
~ Scroll down to the 10th photo
~ Post that photo and story on my blog
~ Tag five friends to do the same

    The Photo:

This picture does not currently have a title, but I would like to call it
    "Yeehaw...ride 'em cowboy". ☺

    The Story:

This picture is of Isaiah. It was taken in October 2007. We were making our yearly visit to Carmichael's Farm in Bixby, OK. They always have TONS and loads of pumpkins, colored corn on the cob, bales of hay...everything that screams fall. I love it. After we visit, I finally feel like fall has ARRIVED! They have great fun for kiddos of all ages, like pony rides...which is what Isaiah is enjoying in the picture above. They also have a hay maze, camel rides, petting zoo, and of course big mounds of pumpkins to climb! We have had some great memories there in the last 5 years since Isaiah was born. We would visit there before, but EVERYTHING is "funner" with kids! ☺ (And yes, for all of you grammar Nazis, I know that "funner" is not a word!)

    I Tag:

Xazmin @ This is the Year

Tanielle @ The Polka Dot Daisy

Renee @ My Glimpse of Life

    Melissa @ The Crazy Daisy

Traci @ Living the Good Life

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday!!

    Mommy Of The Year...

Mom of the Year...phsshhh...not even close, but thanks Tanielle for giving me this award!

The rules of this award are....

    • Admit one thing you feel awful about involving being a mom. Get it off your shoulders. Once you've written it down, you are No Longer allowed to feel bad. It's over with, it's in the past. Remember, you're a good mom!

Wow, hmmm. I definitely have my fair share of bad mommy moments. There are mornings that I drop Isaiah off at school wondering if he's going to rat me out for being so crazy. I'm afraid he's going to recount the morning's conversations to his teacher or worse his friends...that will later go home and tell their parents. You get my drift.

I have an extremely cranky boss, and when I start thinking about being late to work and enduring a morning of crankiness...well, it makes me cranky. It's a vicious cycle.

It often starts out something like this...

"WHERE are YOUR shoes? You just wore them yesterday, they can't walk out of here on their own!"

"You're making momma late! Do you know what happens when momma's late? Mr. J will fire me. Do you know what happens if mommy gets fired? No money...no money for food, no Disney Channel, no blueberry muffins, especially no Hot Wheels!"

Sometimes, Isaiah likes to give me a hard time about wanting to stay home. He'll say, "MOMM-AH, I could just stay home with Belle Girl! I wouldn't mess anything up. I'll be fine until you get home." I say, "do you know what happens if the police find out that momma let you stay home by yourself?" He reminds me that Belle Girl would be with him, and I remind him that a dog is not a sufficient baby sitter. I continue to explain that the police could throw momma in jail for not taking him to school and for leaving him alone with Belle Girl. He decides that he doesn't want me to go to jail, because I make the best spaghetti-Os.

So, there are a few things that I feel the worst about:

    1. Crazy mornings. I try to make the mornings as pleasant as possible, but some circumstances are beyond my control.

    2. Crazy mommy. Those moments when I have an "out-of-body-experience" and feel like my head is about to pop off of my shoulders.

    3. Not being able to stay at home with Isaiah. I know that me working is best for our family, but at the same time I wish I could be home with him more.

    • Remind yourself you are a good mom, list seven things you love about your kids, you love doing with your kids, or that your kids love about you. These are the things to remind yourself everyday that you Rock!
    • I LOVE Isaiah's sense of humor.
    • I love seeing the world through his eyes.
    • I love his hugs and kisses...and his laugh is contagious.
    • I love to read books with him and hear his imagination soar.
    • We love to play pretend...our floor becomes hot lava and the stairs are the volcano...and our only chance of escape is to ride it out on our lava-proof boat (aka the couch).
    • Isaiah's favorite day is Saturday, also known as "Stay At Home With Mommy Day". Love that.
    • One of our favorite things to do is tell each other how far we love each other..."I love you to _____ and back."
        • Send this to five other Mom's of the year that deserve credit for being great moms and remind them that they are the best moms they can be!! Remember to send them a note to let them know you've selected them, and add a link to the person who nominated you.

8 Things I Am Looking Forward To
        1. Melissa and Michelle coming to visit in June! Melissa is my blogger/cafemom "friend" turned bff! I went to visit her in January for her birthday as a surprise (in cahoots with her sister, who I also only knew through blog-land and Myspace). We had THE best time. I love this girl. Don't know what I did without her. Can't wait until her and Michelle get to Oklahoma!
        2. Going to the NKOTB concert with Renee in July!!! Here I come Joey! We went to their concert last month here in Tulsa and I CAN NOT wait for Dallas!
        3. My cousin Lindsay coming in this weekend for Easter. I love holidays, they bring family home. It's good. She has a new baby, 5 month-old Emma, who I can't wait to get my hands on!
        4. Our family reunion on July 4th. I LOVE my family...and I especially LOVE when we're all together.
        5. Getting my next tattoo!!! YAY! When Melissa and Michelle are here in June, we're all going to get tattoos.
        6. Adding-on/Expanding my WAY too small house.
        7. New Moon being in theaters in November. :)
        8. The sequel of a few of my favorite books being released. (especially one by Suzanne Collins - Catching Fire)...I'm a nerd.

        8 Things I Did Yesterday

        1. Took Isaiah in to get FOUR shots. No fun.
        2. Enrolled my baby into kindergarten.
        3. Paid my property taxes three months late. Oops.
        4. Bought Easter stuff for Isaiah's school. 30 Reese's Eggs...the parents are going to love me.
        5. Visited with my granny.
        6. Skipped church. I don't know why.
        7. Made some yummy pork chops and baked sweet potatoes.
        8. Avoided laundry like the plague.

        8 Things I Wish I Could Do

        1. I wish I could sing. Don't get me wrong, I sing...I sing A LOT...just not well. I sing in the car (LOUDLY). I sing in the shower. I randomly break out in song. Someone can say something and I'll bust out some lyrics b/c what they said made me think of a song. I just wish people actually wanted to hear me sing.
        2. I wish I could lose weight. Why does it have to be so dang hard?
        3. I wish I could eat what I want and not gain weight. Why is it that things that taste good are bad for you?
        4. I wish I could use the term 'mo-fo' without any negative connotations.
        5. I wish I could win a shopping spree at Coach.
        6. I wish I could meet my girls for coffee everyday.
        7. I wish I could speak another language fluently.
        8. I wish I could go to NY or Paris. Oh, and while I'm there I would like to stay in a fancy-shmancy hotel.

        Keepin' It Real

        Keepin' it Real
        I've been tagged by Xazmin!
        Here are the rules:
Take a picture of yourself right now.
        No primping or preparing.
        Just snap a picture.
Load the picture onto your blog.
        Tag some people to play.
        NO CHEATING!

Will this work? At least in this pic you can't see the zit factory that just took up residency on my chin...but you can see the Cullen Crest in my window at work. ☺

Ok, how about this one? I have a huge forehead. Maybe I should try some bangs. Makeup and hair done in 10 minutes this morning, so don't judge me.

        Now let's see...who should I tag? Hmmm.
Hope everyone is having a terrific Tuesday!!

        Tag!

I was tagged by Andrea at My Chihuahua Bites to complete a fun questionnaire. Are you ready to learn more than you ever wanted to know about me?

        Here's the rules:

*Copy and paste the questionnaire, and post with your answers on your blog.
*Refer and link back to me.

*Tag four bloggers and leave them comments to let them know they have been tagged.
        *Answer honestly!

        What is your blogger name?

        JennyKate

        When is your birthday?

        October 1, 1977

How long have you been blogging?

Since May 2008. My first real blog was on June 3, 2008. However, my blogging didn't really start until September, after that there was no turning back. I was hooked.

        Who tagged you?

Andrea, aka My Chihuahua Bites or one fabulous blogger ☺

Tell me your five most favorite body parts.

I'm not sure that I have 5 favorite body parts. I'll try. Ummm...I've got great nails. Usually, except when I neglect them. They grow really fast. I like my red hair...it's something people remember. I've been told I have a nice smile. However, I am not fond of my teeth. I should have gotten braces when my parents tried to make me, but I was too stubborn. My boobs are ok, not too big, not too small. I think brown eyes are cute, so I like my brown eyes...plus, there's a really great song about brown-eyed girls. ☺

What do you wish most for your birthday?

I think every year when I blow out the candles it's usually health and happiness for my whole family.

What color are you nails right now?

Bare. I'm in desperate need of a mani...I love my nails to be dark, even black sometimes. ☺

Have you had any depressing thoughts lately?

No. I'm generally a happy person.

What’s your plan for the next month?

April? Well, nothing exciting. I really want to take advantage of the longer and warmer days and get outside and exercise.

At what age did you have your first crush?

Maybe 3rd or 4th grade. His name was Chris Edwards. I think every girl at my school had a crush on him. He had like 5 girlfriends at a time.

Have you attended any school reunions?

Yes, my 10 year class reunion. I helped plan it. We want to do a cruise for our 15th or 20th. I actually like the people I graduated with. ☺

Have you ever passed gas in public and pretended like you didn’t smell anything?

        Of course...hasn't everybody?

        Are you a clean freak?

I have the potential to be one. I used to be one. That was prior to being a full-time working mom.

What era do you wish you were born in?

Maybe 40's...I would have loved to be a teenager in the mid to late 50's. I love the idea of girls in poodle skirts, bobby socks, and monogrammed sweaters! The music was great! The cars were cool! The guys were hot! What more could you ask for?

        Are you a vegetarian?

No. I can go without meat for a while, but usually end up craving a big juicy steak or a cheeseburger.

How many pillows do you sleep with at night?

        2

Are you a light sleeper or a heavy sleeper?

        medium

Do you secretly wear granny panties when your man is not around?

I don't do it in secret. LOL. I mostly wear hipsters or something along those lines. I have a variety, but that's what I wear most of the time.

What is your ultimate dream job?

I like what I do now. I don't know. If I wasn't a mom or married, I would want to live in a big city and work for a magazine...like Betty on Ugly Betty...except minus the crazy outfits and braces.

What does your husband do that annoys you the most?

When I come home from work and he's been home all day and I can tell that everything is just the way it was when I left...and he hasn't done anything. I get a little annoyed.

        What is your dream car?

I'm pretty easy to please, but I wouldn't mind having one of the new hybrid SUV/Crossover type cars.

Do you wake up easily in the morning?

        Yes. I'm a morning person.

        Do you like hairy men?

        NO!

How about a man with a goatee?

        Yes...it can be pretty hott!

Which would you prefer: a two-hour spa massage, a two-hour Thai massage, or a two-hour foot massage?

Well, I would take any, but I guess if I could only choose one I could pick a spa massage.

Have you ever wished you had a different name? If so, what name?

When I was little I always wanted to change my name b/c Jennifer was soooo common. I wanted something different that no one else had...like Butterfly or something crazy like that. I always wanted something short too b/c my name was so long...something like Jessi or Mallory...those were characters from the Babysitters Club books.

What is the most extreme sport you have ever done?

I am so NOT extreme. I don't think I've ever played an "extreme" sport. I've been water skiing.

Do you prefer traveling in Europe or Asia? I would take EITHER!

        What is your favorite food?

        NOODLES!

What is your most embarrassing moment while out on a date?

I can't really think of anything. Nothing seems too embarrassing anymore.

        I tag:

Renee at My Glimpse of Life

Christy at Confessions of an Impulsive Addict

        Liz at Tidbitz from Liz

        Rebeckah at Life with Kaishon

A little of this...a little of that...and a whole lotta randomness

I have so many random things running through my head. I want to blog today, but where do I start? Usually I can just sit right down and start blogging about whatever it is that's on my mind, but today it's as if I'm at a loss for...nah, there's no way I could be at a loss for...yeah, that would never happen. My dad likes to say that I have the "gift to gab". *Insert rolling of eyes and a "whatever"!* Maybe if I just get things rolling...

I'll start with the weekend. My aunt and uncle have been in the process of turning an old historical home into a bed and breakfast and a tea room. (More pictures to come...I'm actually going to start a blog for the bed and breakfast. I'll keep you posted.)

Over the weekend, I helped them with an open house. We even had a little craft fair indoors to help draw in people. Here's a few of the banners I made to sell.

I only sold 2. Not good, but it was still fun. I'm thinking about maybe opening an Etsy store and putting them on there to see if they sell. I have so much fun making them, so it would be fun to actually sell some. Plus, I spend so much time (and money) on Etsy anyway...might as well try to sell a few things while I'm there (although all my profits would probably be used toward new purchases ☺).

Also, I want to give Andrea over at My Chihuahua Bites a shout out for posting the awesome Cobbler recipe last week on Tuesdays At The Table! I made that the yummiest blueberry cobbler last night! Thanks, Andrea! (For the recipe click HERE)

I need to fulfill a tag from my friend Shilo over at My Place of Peace. She tagged me to tell you about my purse! Y'all know how I love purses, so I happily obliged.

        1) Post a picture of whatever bag you are carrying as of late. No, you cannot go up to your closet and pull out that cute little purse you used back before you had kids. I want to know what you carried today or the last time you left the house.

**This is the purse I'm carrying today...just snapped a pic of it w/ my phone. It's a chocolate brown Coach purse (It's the Ergo Hobo style purse from last year). I love it because Michael bought it for me for Christmas last year and I ♥ chocolate brown. It has just a girl's basic essentials inside...purse-size perfume (Light Blue by D&G), hand sanitizer wipes, Tylenol, lip gloss, iPhone ear buds, eyeglass case, my camera, and matching wallet.

        2) I want to know how much it cost☺ And this is not to judge. This is for entertainment purposes only. So spill it. And if there is a story to go along with how you obtained it, I’d love to hear it.

**Since it was a gift I don't know for sure, but since I'm kinda a Coach fanatic I can take a guess...$298ish. Don't look at me like that! I take really good care of it and probably only get a new one once a year (or twice) Gosh.

        3. Tag some chicks. And link back to this post so people know why the heck you’re showing everyone your purse.
**If you're reading this and haven't been tagged for this particular tag...consider yourself TAGGED!

One last thing before I go, I need some feedback on what kind of photo editing software I should buy. Tell me what you have and why you love it!

Hope everyone is having a fantastic week!
