Friday Confessional 4.08

 

It's that time again...time to spill your guts, wipe the slate, come clean...it's FRIDAY CONFESSIONAL with the one and only Mamarazzi!

I don't have much to confess really.  I've been relatively "good"...well, as good as JennyKate can be.  I have my own standards, ya know. 

This week was a culmination of potential confessions...like they ALMOST happened.  It went a little something like this...

• I didn't eat any cheeseburgers...although I wanted to. 
• I only had Starbucks one time...although I wanted to go at LEAST once a day. 
• I didn't lie...except for a few white ones, but they don't count. 
• I didn't slap this little kid on Isaiah's Field Trip yesterday...although he deserved it. 
• I wanted to tell them that I'm not Mrs. Altman.  That's my mother-in-law.  But I realize they're learning to be respectful...and I respect that...so I didn't.
• I didn't steal anything...except for that pen from the bank, but IA assured me that they were there for the taking. 

So, I guess I'm saving up all my bad(ass)ness for now.  I'll be sure to let you guys know when I decide to cash in on it.

Favorite Things Swap Revealed!

 

I'm not sure how I got so lucky.  There's no way I deserved it.  You all know I can be bad.  So, it's funny to me that I got matched up with the Queen of Swapping, Miss Mamarazzi herself!  How did that happen??!!

 

Well, let me tell you, she knows how to spoil a girl. 

 

What is even crazier is that we have SO many favorite things in common!  Every time I opened another gift...and there were SO many...I was like "SHUT UP...that's my favorite TOO!"

 

I was in need of some sunshine yesterday until THIS showed up on my desk...

 

 

Funny how that works out.

 

Her wrapping was so CUTE and so "Mama"!  Adorable polka dots...and brown paper packages tied up with "string". :)

 

Here's what she sent me:

 

1. Spitz.  She said they are her favorite summer tanning snacker!  I think Micahel will confiscate them to munch on while he's watching the Cubbies.
2. Orbit Sweet Mint.  Holla!  It's my fav too, Mama!  You just saved me from buying a new pack!
3. Dial NutriSkin.  She said that it makes your skin soft and smells SO good.  Can't wait to try it!
4. Little boxes of cereal.  Yum and cute!  I love small packages.  She said they're her fav late night snack. 
5. Downy Wrinkle Releaser.  Yep, that's my method of  "ironing" too!  I despise ironing, so this is the trick for me!  Thanks for the little bottle.  I stuck it in my bag that I take to work with me.  You know just in case I forget to "iron" before heading out the door!
6. McCormick Salad Toppings.  SHUT UP!  Mama, this is my absolute FAV thing to put on my salad too!  So so good.
7. Warm Delights Minis.  150 calories of molten chocolate cake goodness.  I'll definitely be indulging in one of these soon.  She said I didn't have to share, so I don't plan on it.
8. CUTE pink pedi set w/ pink polish, of course!  Her favorite way to keep her toes looking cute and PINKTASTIC!  I knew there would HAVE to be something pink in my package...I mean, it's Mama's favorite things we're talking about here! 
9. Beauty Rush lipgloss from Victoria's Secret.  LOVE!  I needed some new lip gloss.  This went straight to my purse.  I'm wearing it now!
10. Cadbury Mini Eggs.  She confessed that she ate one of the bags she bought and for that I would like to say "THANK YOU", because you saved me from eating them both!  Look at it as your good deed for the week.
11. A new mini journal/notebook.  Thanks, Mama.  How did you know I was needing one?!  I'm glad it's your favorite way to keep track of your thoughts.  It's already getting put to good use!
12. Her Favorite Playlist.   I'm currently listening right this moment.  It's good stuff...Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, Colbie Caillat...so mellow and happy.  Thank you, Mama!
13. Rice Krispie Treat...extra large!  They're Mama's favorite road trip snack.  Maybe I should save it for Austin.  I'll share with Impulsive.
14. Fun card games.  Go Fish, War, Old Maid.  She said it's her FAV way to spend time with her family. 
15. Mr. Clean Magic Erasers.  My fav too, Mama!  They are magic.  I have a little boy who is fond of art and they've saved my walls more than once.

Can you believe that isn't all?!  I know.  It's ridiculous.  She also spoiled Isaiah.  I thought I had a cute video of him, but turns out I forgot to push record.  I'm such a retard.

She sent him a $25 to Game Stop, Legos, silly putty, and some Baskin Robbins gift certificates...for a Mom/Isaiah date!  He LOVED that and was over-the-moon-happy about it all.  

Mama, thanks again! 

You rock!

So, what's making me happy these days??

Swaps.  I love 'em.  I'm slightly addicted.  They make me happy!  Here's my latest package that went out on Thursday to Stephanie, my new bloggy friend.

This Oklahoma weather has been giving me whiplash...cold, hot, cold, hot, ridiculously windy...which ultimately leads to chapped lips, which I hate.  So, this makes me happy. 

My new favorite "something sweet".  They are SO good.

Taking and editing pictures.  Yep, I love it.  Makes me happy.

I found this picture while going through the Valentine's Party Pics from Isaiah's class...I like it.  I made those cupcakes...they were yummy.  Cupcakes make me happy.

Pinktastic Swaptastic Package REVEALED!!

Can I just tell you that my PINKTASTIC Swap package was seriously *SQEEEEEE* worthy! 

If Aubrey would have ONLY sent me the card, I would have been tickled pink!

I was in love with her creativity and thoughtfulness.  


Everything was oooozing pink and it was all wrapped in PINK bubble wrap.  How fabulous is that?! 

She sent me:

• A fabulous Edward/New Moon card that she altered to fit the PINKTASTIC swap.  Genius!
• A Starbucks card...and it's PINK.  She's a giver!
• GET THIS...a PINK "BE SAFE" vinyl for my car window!  This will be put on as soon as we defrost.
• A flippin' ADORABLE hot PINK flower for my hair!
• a sweet PINK kitty notepad (*awe*)
• a super cute book mark with a PINK elephant.  LOVE IT!
• PINK strawberry marshmallows, yum!
• PINK strawberry lemonade
• PINK cookies, PINK snoballs, PINK gum
• Mr. Bubbles...PINK and some Johnson and Johnson lotion
• a cute little PINK manicure set.  Funny thing...I sent her some of the same stuff.  Great minds, Aubrey...great minds. =)
• and last, but not least, some major bling...a PINK diamond!  I think I'll keep it on my desk for a sparkly paperweight!

My Happy List - 01.23

Mamarazzi hosts a fun link party on the weekends called Mamarazzi's Happy List.

I love happy.
I love link parties.
I love Mamarazzi.


It's a no-brainer.

A few things that made me happy this past week are...

The snow.

I love it.  It makes me giddy like a school girl.  I love Isaiah having snow days.  I even took a snow day on Thursday.  Good times.

The Valentine's cupcakes are back at Starbucks.  *squeeee*  If you haven't had these, you must.  To die for.

I got to dress up in 50's attire today for Happy Days at church.

Uber fun.  I think I was born in the wrong era.  My saddle oxfords are so comfortable.

I'm totally going to rock them with some jeans or something...definitely going to figure out how to work them into my regular wardrobe.

This little guy makes me happy on a daily basis.

Our house is completely painted!

That makes me so so happy.

Friday Confessional

Oh, where do I start??

I have not even started on buying my Pinktastic Swap stuff.  I have thought about it, and I have a plan in my head.  No worries, Aubrey...I'll pull through for you.  Don't panic.

I took a Snow Day yesterday.  I was supposed to be helping Michael paint, but I didn't do much.  I kept telling people "WE" painted, but by "WE" I really meant "Michael"...it's code.  I did paint most of the living room walls.  Just call me "Van Gogh".

I went on a GNO w/ Impulsive last Friday night and we made her new Pocket Momma (that I got her for her birthday) and my one-footed Pocket Edward do bad things.  Our waiter was trying to get us drunk.  He forced us both to order doubles...against our will. 

I left my debit card in the ATM machine last Friday morning.  I didn't even know about it until Sunday afternoon, when a mom of one of the kids in Isaiah's class called me and asked me if I had left it.  She had turned it into the bank and it had already been shredded, but at least some dishonest person didn't get their hands on it.  They could have ran up a large tab at Kum & Go.  I would just like to note this as a perk of living in a small town.

I have not been on my best blogging behavior lately.  There is a whole folder full of unreturned emails...comments awaiting replies and replies awaiting comment.  I am going to try to do better.  Swearsies.

I ate 1 1/2 donuts this morning.  My FA thanks the guys in drafting for their Friday donuts.  It would not be quite as substantial, if it weren't for those damn donuts.

Friday Confessional

I confess that I'm doing Mamarazzi's Friday Confessional instead of my normal Friday Confessions, because I'm a follower and because it's more fun playing with friends.  I'm a people person.

I confess that I'm going out with Impulsive and our girl Mona tonight.  Patron or Captain might show up.  We'll probably start throwing around nicknames like Skillz, Slush, and XRated and there WILL be a discussion about Swingers.  That's all I can say.  The rest in confidential.

I confess that I've made up for my lack of Starbucks last week.  I feel totally accomplished.  I would also like to go on record and say that I like the new Starbucks logo.  They, of course, consulted me first.  I am a Gold Card holder and a member in good standing of the Starbucks Passion Panel.

I take my obsessions, addictions, and distractions VERY seriously.

I confess that after my last post on The RHOK the other day about The Great Kid Debate, I felt like I had jinxed myself.  So, I would also like to confess that I was praising Jesus this morning when Aunt Flo came to visit.

I confess that I listen to Justin Bieber's (and Ludacris) Baby at least once a day on my iPod or iTunes.  In the words of a wise (often drunk) friend of mine, DON'T YOU JUDGE ME.

Mamarazzi's Favorite Things Swap...SWAPPED!

It's finally here...

The time has FINALLY come for Mamarazzi's Favorite Things swap packages to be...swapped! If you participated in this event, I think you probably share my excitement. If you did not participate in this event (well, you should have!) and you may not share my excitement...but think about the thrill of getting something sent to you in the mail from someone you've never met and know practically nothing about. You may think, "What could they send me that I would want?...or...What if I don't like anything they send?" Ok, so I thought that too. I actually had many small anxiety attacks while deciding what I was going to send to Rebecca. I realize it is MY FAVORITE THINGS, but I wanted her to LOVE them too! You see the stress involved here? However, let me assure you, the end results are so super fabulous that you would never doubt a "favorite things swap" again...ever. Are you pumped? Do you want to see what I got?

First of all, isn't this the cutest wrapping?! Cute wrapping impresses me...I was impressed.

Rebecca spent so much time on details. She wrapped each of my gifts individually and attached these adorable cards on the outside of each gift and tucked a "follow up" card on the inside of each gift! Is that adorable or what?! For instance, the outside card would say something like "making organization cute" (a favorite thing) and the inside card would say "makes bill paying more fun" and the gift was some cutsie file folders w/ polka dots! One of my other favorite cards was "having a cupcake picnic at the Georgetown waterfront" and the inside card read "Georgetown waterfront not included". The gift was a box full of everything needed to make some cupcakes with cupcake papers, mix, icing, sprinkles, cute picks...the whole nine yards! She is so clever!



I'm telling you, this package was loaded! Oo ooo, I almost forgot about these until I just saw them in my picture. She sent me those way cool disposable toothbrushes made by Colgate or Crest or one of those toothpaste people...Wisps. I LOVE THESE!!! I've been wanting to try them, but had never remembered to look for them! Thanks, Rebecca...and all the people at work will thank you too the next time we have Bogies Hamburgers for lunch, so good, but those onions do a number on your breath.



As you can tell in the pic above, she also included her FAVORITE rainy day comfort food - Kraft Mac and Cheese (me too Rebecca!), all the things to make a delicious nutritious bowl of yummy oatmeal (bowl included), and these handy-dandy one serving almond butter packets (you have no idea how perfect this is for me...I have issues with portion control on many things...peanut butter, or almond butter in this case, being the #1).

Some things you can't see (but they're there) are...

• glitter glue pens (because things are just better with glitter)
• purple pens (for doting the i's and crossing the t's w/ style)
• a "J" notepad (I love my initial too, Rebecca :)
• cutsie colored paper clips
• awesome lip gloss(es)...(for keeping lips soft and kissable)

last, but not least

• Lindt truffles...can I get a "woot woot" for some yummy chocolate!

Mamarazzi's Favorite Things Swap!

Thanks to Tanielle, I stumbled upon Mamarazzi's Favorite Things Swap this morning and I am stoked! (I like using that word to annoy my husband. It's the little things that let him know I love him). If you've been reading my blog for a while, you know that I did my first swap with Julie back around Valentine's Day and had the MOST fun!! Besides, the title of the swap makes me think of Oprah and her famous giveaway to her fans...so, only good things can come from this. I can't wait to participate in Mamarrazi's Favorite Things Swap.
