Have you ever been to a small town Christmas parade? I know some of you live in small towns and I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. I also know some of you in real life, so I know that you know what I'm talking about. But this post is for those of you who have never experienced a small town Christmas parade. I mean, I think everyone at least once should experience it. So, get ready for you virtual Small Town Christmas Parade.
You can thank me later.
One thing you can always count on are a plethora of police cars and fire trucks.
They are there in full force...horns, lights, sirens, and all.
The second thing you can always count on is that there will be at least 3 high school/junior high marching bands. They provide the background music to the parade.
Watch this video for a little glimpse.

I love it... that's how our parades are. My kids were with their dad last weekend and it was like 10 degrees outside, so we didnt make it. Our parade lights our Christmas Village downtown, so one of theses days soon we will go down and walk through the park.
Oh, yes! And, it's totally our thing. In fact, the Kennesaw parade is this Saturday and Santa will be at the end with real reindeer. That's always cool!
Thanks so much for this virtunal parade post. We have nothing like that over here. It looks such fun.
Have a great weekend.

Thanks for stopping by my blog :) xoxo
We have a few around here. I kind of want to go to one tomorrow night, but I also kind of want to stay at home sitting on my butt.
Okay, so your home town Christmas parade is way better than ours! We don't even do a holiday one, but the one that we do have? Well, our town is so small we have a damn UPS truck in it.
Ours is this weekend but I don't know if I feel like going because it is so flippin' cold!
We are going to a Christmas Parade in Downtown Denver tonight! We are so excited because it was 60 degrees today so it should be a great night to be outside. And I promised the kids we'd get Starbucks!
Haha, I'm all about picture overload! Love this... what a fun time with the family. It is already soooo cold here, I would have a hard time standing outside for a parade... so I'm grateful to have a look at yours. :)

I completely agree...there is nothing like a small town Christmas parade. We will be going to ours next week :)
Fellow Blog Hopper:)
This is all kinds of awesome.
Coupons? Never heard of that being thrown and I lived in Louisiana for 7 years. That's just good partying.
Oversized shopping cart?
Political floats?
I must be there next year.
Just noticed something. Is your son the kid in your button? LOVE it.
YAY!!! Go GREEN!!! It was great seeing you!! :)

I haven't been to a Dub-town parade in YEARS! Thanks for the flashback. Some things NEVER change!
I love I's serious side.
You know... the only parades I watch are the ones on TV! It's too cold outside.
We dont have a Christmas parade in my town but we are going to a nearby town tomorrow for their Christmas parade and tree lighting..cant wait!
Oh I love it! No parade here but we do have a tree lighting ceremony in a quant little shopping plaza.
Isaiah, how do you feel the beat?
What fun?!
Last year we went to the Rose Parade (does that count ;)
Now, my daughter is looking over my shoulder and I cannot even scroll down because she is a Twilight maniac and wants to look at your picture! Thanks!
Glad you and your little man enjoyed the parade :)
I have been to a small-town Christmas parade and I LOVED it - Grapevine TX - suburb of DFW, but small town at heart!

I love the small town parades best.
Ours is this coming Saturday morning. Why must we do it of a morning? I think I'd like a nighttime one.
Love your pictures and video!
Isaiah's serious face is somewhat balanced out by the hat he is wearing...hard to look at him seriously in that one! Too cute!
that looks awesome. makes me want to go see one.
Looks like fun! I haven't been to a local parade in a really long time. I think the marching band is my favorite thing about a parade.
