A Winter Wonderland Baby Shower

A few months ago, when my cousin Lindsay announced that she was having another baby girl, I went into hyper-speed-baby-shower-planning-mode.  I know that they only make it home a few times a year and I couldn't let her NOT have a baby shower...so, we (me, my mom, and my cousin Kristen) hurried up and planned her a Winter Wonderland themed baby shower for the day after Christmas.

Now, I do not recommend this.  It was tiring, exhausting, and stressful, but we had no choice.  They were home for Christmas and not expected to visit again until AFTER the baby is here...so, the day after Christmas it was!

Here's what it looked like...
The Food.

The Cake.

I bought a bunch of onesies in different sizes and paint pens and I had everyone make the baby a onesie.

Everyone was so creative and we had a great time doing them.  They turned out so cute!  She'll have her very own unique onesies for at least her whole first year.
Here's the one I made.

A few more scenes from the shower...

 Shower favors.

I didn't get to do everything on my HWTM (hostess with the mostess) list, but it turned out great and Lindsay got lots of great gifts.

What do you think?

  7. I've said it before and I'll say it again: You need to get paid for this.
Now. If I move to OK, or at least visit, and say I'm knocked up, will you throw me one of these? Or even if I'm not I'm sure my stomach is large enough I can tell everyone I am. Right?

  10. You left the SWEETEST comments on my blog and I thank you for it! :) As for the baby shower..most CREATIVE one I've ever seen. EVER. Can't wait till my sister gets preggo so I can throw her the 'greatest' one ever ! :D To answer your question I have a Sony A230 with 3 lenses (50mm 1.8, 18-55mm and 28-85mm) and I also have a vivitar speedlite for the inside shots! I love the abundance of bokeh in this post! And lastly (I promise!) Grandparents are SO special...and they seem angelic anyways but when you have situations like these (ours) it makes it that plus a zillion! Have a nice day!
